We reserved a table for 6 to celebrate a birthday. The birthday girl had been her before and enjoyed her experience. It was also a central location for all of us coming from all over NY. We enjoyed the atmosphere and each other's company. We did not know who our server was, we had at least 3 different people wait... More

We'd been looking for some good Japanese food for lunch and we stumbled across Blue Ginger. The restaurant is in a great location and wasn't too busy when we arrived. The food was delicious and the service was quick and efficient. The sushi is made fresh and definitely worth going just for that. If you're in the area drop in... More

Ordered the 3 roll lunch special and it didn't disappoint. Only thing it came with miso soup and i preferred a green salad. The price was worth it.

We have been getting sushi take out from Blue Ginger every Friday for the past 6 years. Its been my favorite sushi spot for over 10 years. The atmosphere is hip and relaxed, the staff is wonderful. The restaurant is very nice and they front wall is open in the summer. The food is delicious. I am told they make... More

Newly renovated place designed with taste, warm atmosphere. We went there with the kids. Had mojito sake and mojito pommegrenate, both excellent and full of character. Sushi was very good- especially the Godzilla and the Black Dragon. Service was attentive and efficient.

We passed this restaurant around 4pm and there was no one in there so was a bit unsure of entering. We returned around 5pm and it was still empty, maybe just the time of day. Anyway we went in and were met by really polite staff. I ordered the Greenwich Roll and the duck, and my partner ordered sashimi and... More

We stopped here for lunch as we were walking to the Whitney Museum. I had the seaweed salad, which was very good, and the chicken satay, which was good but perhaps a little greasy. My husband had sushi which he said was "okay" - probably about on par with what you could get at Whole Foods.

Right off the subway stop in a line of interesting restaurants and shops, the Blue Ginger was a great place to stop for a very reasonable bento box lunch. We were seated right next to the windows flanked by flower boxes and were able to watch the passing parade. The food arrived promptly was tasted great, my son ordered the... More
