This is not the first time TripAdvisors has steered me to a CLOSED restaurant. Surely in 2017 there is some high tech way to conduct an occasional verification that restaurants are actually still in operation. There is a Panera Bread right across the street from St Tropez. Not a local find but adequate to fill a hungry and disappointed traveler.

AWESOME! I've had this two days in a row and I'm amazed at how fresh every taste. The portion sizes is perfect and the price can't be beat. I don't know what they put on the potatoes but I could eat them everyday for the rest of my life and be happy. If you're looking for a great quick breakfast... More

To start we waited a while to be seated. Although the place wasn't crowded. After this we waited even longer to get the menu and then to order our food. Food was good, coffee wasn't, so it wasn't a problem not have being asked for a refill. Service definately needs to improve.

We went back to the St. Tropez even though we said we wouldn't after the last time, but it had been so good and we had such great memories. Bad mistake. On a bright sunny morning, when there used to be a line, we walked right in to be not-greeted by a person but by a mostly empty room. To... More

This southern France inspired cafe made some nice crepes for us with some good coffee too. We ordered at the counter and our breakfast was served in a timely manner. Nice place for a casual meal.

I have been here on several occasions on visits to San Diego. I think it is a great place for breakfast and it is relaxing. Staff are friendly and helpful also. Portion sizes are good and are just the right size for breakfast. Decent coffee also. I would definitely recommend this place for people visiting San Diego from Europe.

I was very pleased with the coffee and baked goods here, but thought the service was a bit slow and not very friendly. Not rude, but not welcoming, either. The baked goods kind of made up for it. :)

Service was great and everyone was friendly. We were seated quickly (it was a Friday morning). Restaurant says 'french' but you can get run of the mill breakfast also. We ordered 2 regular coffees and I had a panini (chicken and bacon), and my wife ordered a bacon and cheddar omelette. She enjoyed hers, and the potatoes as well. My... More

A bright, airy tropical feel and great service. A variety of egg and grill specialties, but the acai bowl with bananas and strawberries really stood out. Right across from the Westin Gaslamp and a good way to start the day.

I remembered seeing this bakery in the guidebook, but we didn't realize it until we were seated that it was the one we had looked up before. We just wanted crepes. And that's what we had. We had strawberry and banana crepes and they were delicious. We went mid-week, maybe around 10am, so after any rush. The place was quiet... More
