Loved the outdoor seating and our server! I had the fish tacos which were pretty good but not the best I’ve ever had. The rolled tacos for an appetizer were ehh! Nothing to write home about. A little disappointed since it was the only Mexican...food I had while in town.More

Fun experience. My wife and I were able to be seated quickly even though it was a busy, full restaurant. We both had margaritas and burritos. The drinks were great and the portions were huge. We were both pleased with our food and service but...not blown away. Would recommend if you are in the area.More

Definitely overrated. Food is very bland. Margaritas are from a slushy machine and overpriced. Overpriced and overrated.Tortillas were not cooked at all. It is a very commercial operation with just a great location. It could be so much more.

Simply awesome! Delicious food in a great environment. The Carne Asada & California burritos are amazing! Top it off with top notch churros. Great drinks and friendly service. Loved it!

Old Town Village is a great place to walk around and shop. Got all my souvenirs. Café Coyote is an authentic Mexican restaurant. Great outdoor seating and pleasant hospitality. Food was excellent and great Margheritas.

We went to old Town to get the Mexican culture experience, and decided to stop by to eat authentic mexican food and drinks at cafe coyote following a recommendation from some local friends. Unfortunately our experience at this restaurant wasn't as expected, we ordered chile...verde plate and ricardo special... both sides of guacamole were really but we couldn't tell anyone since nobody came backbto our table to make sure we were fine after got our food. We also got a Pomegranate margarita on the rocks to share, and wasn't really amazing as we thought will be. We may give it another chance next time we visit San Diego, since everything else was pretty tasty.More

I eat here every time I’m in town. The place is huge so you can usually be sat quickly. Chips & salsa are good, margaritas are tasty & big. Had the carnitas and they were amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meal. There is a reason I...eat here every trip.More

We went on a Wed night in late Sept and I thought we'd have a long wait it looked busy. They had several tables moved to side walk and plexiglass walls between tables. They seemed to adapt well to covid restrictions. The food and atmosphere...were great. Wished we had gone earlier to check out the shops in old towne.More

We had a great lunch here. The menus were available on our phones. There is plexiglass between all the outdoor tables. Our server was prompt in taking our order and delivering our drinks and food. I had the delicious shrimp tacos and my husband had...a carne asada burrito. I love their mango margarita! We will definitely be back!More
