Restaurant was in an odd little center, but is right off the freeway. The food was excellent and portions were generous. Service was exceptional. The restaurant was full of "regulars " who came in knowing exactly what they wanted to order, attesting to the popularity of their food and service.

My wife eats here almost every week, and sometimes she lets me tag along. Bottom line, it may be the best Thai food I've had, and I have eaten a lot! The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect. I brought my kids here one time, and now they constantly ask to come back, even though it is... More

The lunch specials cannot be beat for the price and taste. So simple to order, pick a meat, pick a dish you would like it added too, and select a spiciness from 1-10. I normally order between a 3 and a 4.

Pailin changed name and ownership but its essentially the same restaurant. I had a good pad thai for lunch and it came as a set with soup, egg rolls and some salad. I had the Thai coffee which was good. Spicy level 7 was about right.

We like the lovely decor at this Thai place, clean and bright. Service was good. The Hawaiian Fried Rice, Chicken Pad Thai and the Fried Halibut with a delightful basil sauce were very good. We asked for the sauce to be on the side just to be sure and wow! we love the flavor. For Hawaiian Fried Rice, We were... More

Visited with family for Sunday dinner. Staff was as usual very nice and attentive but (as all other times I've been visiting) they make you believe you can order your dishes with different levels of spicyness (between 1 and 10). For one thing I personally want dishes to be served as the chef intended them to. Specifically that means I... More

Ate here last year for lunch and the service and food was phenomenal.. but this year not so much. We had reservations, arrived for dinner, and was told (by the owner I think) that "your table is over there...not lead to the table and seated or anything. He seemed preoccupied with everything other than taking care of the customers. Certainly... More

Haven't been here since the name change from Spices to Pailin but nothing has really changed. The menu is identical to what it was previously. The lunch specials are good value and tasty, this last visit one of our party ordered something from the menu that must have taken longer to prepare as it arrived 10 minutes after all the... More

We've been to this restaurant a number of times when it was known as Spices. We went again this Sunday, and it is now called Pailin. We were amused when we read their ad that stated "Same owner, same menu, same hours, better service"! So why change the name? Anyway, having traveled in Thailand, and dined in a fair number... More

This was formerly Spices Thai Cafe, in fact even though the sign on the building has changed to reflect Pailin Thai, the paper placemats still show Spices Thai. We used to love going here when it was Spices, but the place has gone downhill. There is dirt everywhere you look, starting with the restroom door around the handle. Dirt in... More
