Wow! Didn't expect to enjoy our meal as much as I did. We had Grilled oysters- my favorite. You must get it. Lightly grilled. Bone marrow- yum... with the toast. Devoured. Get that too if you like marrow. Corn bread- and I'm a corn bread snob. I loved it. A little sweet but not too sweet, a dollop of honey... More

Awesome menu! I was torn between the grilled oysters and the Chile con carne. I went with the Chili and what an amazing choice. The Chile was pinto bean based with roasted Pasillo peppers, lime crema, cojito cheeses and grilled flank steak. Wow !! Such a unique flavor combination. The steak was cooked medium bed thinly sliced- nestled in the... More

This restaurant was recommended to my partner and I on a Segway tour. The restaurant is part indoors and part outdoors and there is no real "border", it's fluid. They have an interesting decor of antlers on beer taps and literally fire pits on tables. I ordered the half chicken and my partner ordered an osso buco like dish. They... More

New to the Neighbourhood, we decided to do a bar crawl, venue crawl to taste the cuisine of San Diego; a cocktail here, a nosh there. Armed with a list of venue recommendations from friends and family, we started at Craft & Commerce, and boy, was it worth it! Absolutely amazing service (not too pretentious or taking itself too seriously),... More

We were out walking back to our hotel in Little Italy when we came across this bar. It immediately stood out and we went in for some drinks. Pleasantly surprised to be fed a steady stream of cheap, delicious Old Fashioned's on happy hour. Loved the taxidermy and library / lodge feel. Apparently there is a secret tiki bar that... More

We stumbled into this place on a cold Christmas eve and it was so warm and inviting! Leather bound books line the walls that also hold (fake) taxidermy animals. They don't serve vodka here so I needed some advice from the bartender. I ended up with a really nice gin concoction. My husband tried 2 different beers poured from nitro... More

Seems to be the hip place in San Diego. Very interesting and different interior - new hipster wave. Unfortunately the manager seem to had changed recently so the Internet website was not updated for the new menu. Food was good, price was OK. Nothing were we felt we need to go there again.

Great setting with ambiance in downtown San Diego. Hard to get in, so make reservations. Unique take on drinks and food, delicious and interesting. Try the old fashioned whiskey drink and the Gin Chronic, both were delicious and not overdone. Food was all great from Bone Marrow to Quail with Jalapeno Mac n Cheese to a giant and excellent steak,... More

Stumbled across this really cool spot in Little Italy. It's not on the main drag so we didn't know it was there, but oh man you must visit this place. We were in town for a conference and went 2 times. Great service (JC & Robert), the drinks are unique and to die for...the decor is amazing and vibe is... More

And 10 years later now in San Diego a "speak easy" tiki bar, omg (lol) you enter through the freezer, really?!?! This is so old. The rest of the bar is very nice in this out door/ indoor setting. I will never go back because this hipster joke that they don't serve vodka. Make sure to grow a mustache before... More
