My husband planned a trip for the two of us to San Diego. Many people raved to us about Searsucker so we made reservations and even added two local family members to it after we invited them to join us. We arrived, were seated and it took our waiter a while to come around. He came, took drink orders and... More

Fair place with good food. A bit slow on the service and ineffective seating... took too long full the tables. We had different 'smalls' to share. Note there's high music inside later on. Very lively.

Arrived for a late dinner with a large party. The restaurant was happy to accommodate and our waiter was the BEST. He was extremely patient and fun & friendly. Food came out without too long of a wait, and tasted great. It is fairly loud in the restaurant, so if you're not directly next to people at your table, you... More

Good location in Gas Lamp District. Nice space, good service, the food was Good, BUT WHY DOES THE INCESSANT TECHNO MUSIC HAVE TO BE SO DAMN LOUD???!! Look I was in this restaurant eating with fellow musicians and sound engineers. One of the engineers pulled out his Decibel Reader....94 db in a restaurant?? The food and decor was spoiled by... We were having a drink in a nearby bar and were recommended Searsucker by the bartender. As it was a Monday night, we had no problem getting a table. The restaurant itself had a nice, warm buzz about it. We weren't starving so we ordered a couple of small plates and a main course between the two of us and... More

Cool interior and good music. The baked Brie starter was delicious but our main course took forever to arrive. Good thing the food was good, cause we sure worked up an appetite waiting for it.

We've been here before. The food tonight was not good. Nothing tastes fresh. They changed their recipes or something and a 3% surcharge in the bill for what? I was looking forward to this restaurant. Used to be one of my favorites. We ordered mussels, octopus and scallops. None of the tree dishes were any good.

Don't go to this restaurant. They add extra 3% surcharge. Servers don't even know why. One server said it was the law, but in actuality, it is not! This is absolutely not right. It is counter productive. If any restaurant adds hidden surcharges, it just means I wont give one single cent in tip to the servers.

Pleasant light lunch. Good service and reasonably priced food. Both our meals were good and we spent a pleasant hour or so sitting in the sun.

What a fabulous late lunch we just had! Attentive, efficient service and great food! My husband had the duck fat fries and the fried chicken sandwich. I had the escarole/arugula salad, tomato soup and crab cake. The salad had golden beets and apples with peanuts. The Riesling was excellent and the bathrooms were spotless and nicely decorated with completely private... More
