We had the seafood pasta. There was one shrimp and a few tiny pieces of fish and a couple of mussels. They should be ashamed of themselves. It was our first visit with a guest and our last. They are apparently living off past performance.

Very mediocre experience for a restaurant positioning itself as a high-end location in downtown San Diego. We were there one evening when only fixed menu was available; the quality of almost all the food items was average at best, at least for someone experienced in Italian fine dining. At least judging from that evening, this is a typical example of... More

Whether it's a special occasion or hosting friends from out of town or just a night out Bice always is high on the list! The wait staff is professional and helpful. You have to get a cheese plate. If you don't know Italian cheeses the staff will help you pick based on your taste. They have a good selection of... More

If you want to host a business dinner with good food, wine, and service, this is your place. It's packed most nights with business and special occasion groups. The food is good with small bar area and very good service. Worth a try while in downtown San Diego, CA

We had several apps to share and enjoyed them all. Great wine selection and great staff. Atmosphere was a little too loud for business conversation across the table, actually it was too loud period. Food was excellent.

If you are a cheese lover, this is the place you have dreamed of. Two cheese chefs will introduce you to bites of magical flavor. Of course, the Italian fare is of the finest quality and imagination. Bice will match the best you have experienced in both food and service.

I guess since we were given a TravelZoo coupon for a dinner for four, the general manager felt that we weren't worth much to Bice. We brought another couple. Her first (and last) bite of Branzino smelled strange when she put the first bite toward her mouth. It WAS BAD after she actually tasted it and spit it out. The... More

We enjoyed a memorable dinner at BICE. The ambiance, service, food is all very nice for a special occasion . The cheese selection is extensive. You may choose from cow , sheep or goat milk cheeses or combinations . Cheeses come with bread & a little fruit for decoration. Additional jams can be ordered with your cheese. We had 4... More

everything went well until we ordered. I advised the waitress to not rush the entrée after our appetizer. She said no problem and will wait for us to let her know. Guess what? Entrees arrived while we were eating still our appetizer. I then called the waitress to table and returned the food and that I was disappointed that I... More

Bice is an island of calm sophistication in San Diego's bustling--sometimes rambunctious--Gaslamp District. Its spacious, high-ceilinged, modernist dining room invites diners to engage in unhurried savoring of its tempting Italian offerings. My Tortelloni filled with spinach and ricotta cheese bathed in a rich Gorgonzola sauce was delicious, although it did not arrive at our table piping hot. I enjoyed the... More
