My husband always wants breakfast. It doesn't matter what time of day. I am not the biggest fan of breakfast food. This place makes us both happy. The food and service was fantastic. The atmosphere is adorable. My daughter couldn't stop staring at the giant...More

My two passions in breakfast are coffee and great pancakes. Brian's 24 offered both and was one of the most filling and satisfying breakfasts in the Gaslamp area (6th St). The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was classy and the reason is it is...More

We actually ate here twice. They have pancakes that cover the entire plate - LOL!!! The food was good and not expensive. It was crowded both times but we loved it!

This is the best place to go late night or morning for strictly a beer or breakfast food. Soooo good and large portions. You get your money's worth and some here.

Checked tripadvisor and found this spot. Great place for sandwiches. I had a chicken cordon bleau sandwich and my wife had a burger. Both were large and tasty. My wife is on a gluten free diet so did not want to chance the fries and...More

Ate here with a friend for breakfast on a Sunday. Our portions were enormous. I got the boneless chicken and waffles and it was really good. The waffles were soft and the chicken was seasoned just right. Keep in mind these are not like chicken...More

My breakfast was enormous. It was easily four times as much food as one person should eat. And it was triple the price of what I would pay at home for a proper meal. So, the 23% of what I was served that I ate,...More

Awesome food! The portion sizes are pretty big so come hungry or plan on sharing. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. Servers were very attentive and our food came out pretty quickly. Definitely recommend if you are looking for...More

First of all, the food was amazing! Come with an appetite as the portions are huge, and left-overs are almost impossible not to have! The buffalo chicken sandwhich, what I got, had more chicken than bread and was amazing! It was the best sandwhich I've...More

Description
On behalf of our family and staff, we welcome you to Brian's 24! We know you have a lot of choices when deciding where to eat and we're so glad that you chose our restaurant. Aside from the big bar and even bigger food, our place has a story…all great places have a story. This story starts in 2008 when a father (Steve) and a son (Brian) began a drive around the Gaslamp Quarter in search of their next family business venture. Being San Diego natives, Steve and Brian knew exactly what Downtown was missing, an all-hours restaurant where you could get good comfort food any time, day or night. Having come from a family of foodies and restaurateurs, and with Brian himself having spent time in the restaurant industry in Las Vegas, both Steve and Brian were ready for something fun, exciting and in the heart of their hometown. From the moment they stepped in to the restaurant off the lobby of the historic St. James Hotel, they knew they had found the spot. With its grand, hand-crafted mahogany bar (obtained from actress Joan Crawford's estate), beautiful crystal chandelier and tin ceiling, the place really had a warm feeling and a great personality. Fast-forward to today, and the family business is still going strong. After Steve's passing in 2010, the business now has more family members sharing in this labor of love, with Ida (mom), Andrea and Robin (two of Brian's four sisters) standing next to Brian at the helm. Our mission is simple - family, comfort food and anything you want, any time you want it.
