After a disappointing jaunt into Eataly earlier in the day, decided to return to an old standby- Parziale's. Except this time, the pizza was just way too salty for my taste. Whoever made it this day needs to stick to the basic recipe for what works right - or at least sample a slice just to make sure. I will... More

Ever wonder what's a real Italian neighborhood bakery in the US like? Well visit Parziales and you'll find out. Old school Italian bakery like back in the day. I've been baking for 25 years, we laughed and joked about the business! Good people ! Good bakery stuff ! God bless!

This is the place. I go out of my way to buy bread here. Even when engineering the small storefront, I start to salivate because of the bakery smell, Very old world. I sometimes go there to just smell the bread.

This is not on the list of best bakeries in town, but it definitely should be! We found it by accident several years ago while walking through the north end. We walked into one of the highly-rated bakeries right next door and they were packed and their baked goods did not entice me at all. Then we walked into Parziale's.... More

While Parziale's may be next door to Bova's, that's the only similarity. While smaller ,if you remember the old Boschetto's that's now history, Parziale's is more like them than Bova's.

Was walking by during closed hours. I saw the baker in back and he let me buy some stuff for cash. The anise cookies are like my Nonna made and were delicious

Purchased the Italian bread and it was great. Fresh, tasty and every crumb gone. We used it for sandwiches. Yum!

On a side street in the North End, serves pizza (we did not try), and sells bread and Italian cookies. The cookies were of the highest quality. Tiny Parziale's has a smaller selection than Mike's or Modern, but doesn't have the long waiting lines that the 2 famous ones have.

This is the real deal - not a 24-hour or line out the door tourist trap, but man, their bread and cannoli's are absolutely the best. A "local" place - seems to be overshadowed by the other tourist traps, and once you try Parziale's, then you'll wonder "What's the deal?!" about the other places. Frequented by locals, as well as... Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
