Enjoyed an afternoon of tapas and seafood paella.... The flavours of all three tapas were a delight to the palate.... Then to top it off the seafood paella was superb!! Our server Phoebe was very knowledgeable and provided exceptional recommendations. Overall, an amazing dinner - definitely worth checking out this spot.....

Went here for our first meal at the start of our holiday and I'm so glad we did! I absolutely love tapas food, yes it's not the normal Spanish dishes, but I really liked that and it was really refreshing to have something different to try. I loved the goats cheese, beef and pork, other dishes were nice, maybe not... More

Loved it! Try the grilled corn. It was addictively delicious. There were 4 of us dining. Loved the pork belly, the hamburgueses , and the mussels. All were wonderful as was our waiter.

As a spaniard I can tell you that the food was terrible. Half of the menu is not even Spanish, but Latin American. The few spanish things that were on the menu were awful. Soggy patatas bravas, too much brava sauce that was not made correctly and you do not put alioli on patatas bravas!!! It's just not spanish tapas!

I cannot describe how amazing the flavors were at this place. The food is outstanding. After going out for excellent food twice a day for a week in Boston, I didn't think I could come across anything better. Until Toro came along... Every dish was better than the last. Oysters, then tuna, then goat cheese, then prawns... all amazing! The... More

Tried the empanadas which were not made with the traditional dough. They were passable but not the price is not really with it. The mini burgers were good but could have used a little salt. The bone marrow was not good the pulled pork was unnecessary and the marrow was under cook. The ham was good but overpriced. The churros... More

Visiting colleges in a Boston for 2 nights We liked the place so much we ended having lunch again the next day. Excellent food and atmosphere. A tapas place like this would cost 3 times as much in manhattan with half the food quality. From Cauliflower to Boqueria everything was great . Must visit in Boston .

This restaurant is amazing! Small, cozy, energetic. Creative cuisine, great drinks, upbeat atmosphere. And the food! Wow! We had five different tapas selections while we visited one evening, and everyone of them were amazing! For much of my life, I have not been a real fish and/or seafood fan, with the exception of shrimp cocktail. When we were at Toro,... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
