Stopped by before the theater for drinks and some food. The pomberry cosmopolitan was recommended by the waiter and it was really good. Food and beers we had were good to.

Having visited several other Rock Bottoms we headed straight for Boston's version from this popular pub chain. Very good with good service too. As always the beers were spot on. One night we ate there went to the theatre and came back to the pub! Sadly when we revisit the States in September there are no pubs from this chain... More

Had dinner here before seeing Jon Anderson at the Wang Theater. Rock Bottom is located right across the street. Food was great and staff very friendly. Atmosphere was nice. Booths were comfortable .Sat five of us easy.

Typical sports bar with typical greasy food. Beer is average at best, mostly bland and inoffensive in taste. Don't visit if you're looking for special craft beer, decent location to just watch sports and down a few beers.

Rock Bottom is a chain, but don't let that put you off. We opted for a bar seat rather than wait for a table, good food and good atmosphere made for an excellent all round experience.

First time we had to wait 45 minutes for a table here but it was worth it! Great food for a friend's birthday dinner and service was pretty fast despite the place being packed. Our waitress, Cindy, was wonderful! Definitely a good place to go with a bigger group of people.

Visited his place a couple of times during our stay, sometimes for beer, sometimes for beer and food. Plenty on the menu, although I wasn't impressed with mine - but I think I ordered something that I thought was something else - and lots of nice beers. Staff were great and prices not too bad. Cocktail menu quite impressive as... More

We stopped by with a group on our way by for a beer. It was a Saturday night so very busy. We found a spot in the corner and stayed for a few beers each. There beers are very good and reasonably priced. Not many locals.

I came here to get drinks and appetizers before attending a comedy show. This is a perfect casual place to go before a show because it is so close to all of the theaters. Our server was awesome, and the restaurant had a great atmosphere! We all ordered drinks and split the Brewery Nachos and the Jalapeño Pretzel Stix. If... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
