I made a reservation online a week in advance so they had a table waiting for us (group of 11). But it was a necessity because they were packed. It didn't effect the service to much and we got in and out in time for our show. We would definitely go back, the firecracker shrimp was amazing!

We had reservations for 2:45 before heading to a 5:00 performance to see Blue Man Group. We arrived at 2:30 and were promptly seated.at the time of arrival, the restaurant was not busy at all. There were many empty tables. After sitting at the table for 20 minutes without being acknowledged by any waitstaff, I flagged one down and asked... More

Great place to eat . Menu has several options pasta, steak, pizza, salad and a children's menu so does cater for the whole family very reasonably priced also. I would like to be able to review the food at this restaurant. But, sadly, we never got to eat! We had reservations for five p.m. before going to a performance at the Wilbur Theatre. Due to heavy traffic, we arrived fifteen minutes late and were told by a very unsympathetic hostess that they had given our table away! She... More

The room was noisy and cold; the wait staff was untrained; the next table twice got the wrong meal; my wife's chicken waldorf salad had chicken that was like rubbery deli meat with artificial (dried) apples was drenched in dressing; my pulled pork sandwich poorer than expected. The fries were lukewarm and lacked taste; The decaffeinated coffee arrived "cold.' After... More

Stopped by before the theater for drinks and some food. The pomberry cosmopolitan was recommended by the waiter and it was really good. Food and beers we had were good to.

Having visited several other Rock Bottoms we headed straight for Boston's version from this popular pub chain. Very good with good service too. As always the beers were spot on. One night we ate there went to the theatre and came back to the pub! Sadly when we revisit the States in September there are no pubs from this chain... More

Had dinner here before seeing Jon Anderson at the Wang Theater. Rock Bottom is located right across the street. Food was great and staff very friendly. Atmosphere was nice. Booths were comfortable .Sat five of us easy.

Typical sports bar with typical greasy food. Beer is average at best, mostly bland and inoffensive in taste. Don't visit if you're looking for special craft beer, decent location to just watch sports and down a few beers.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
