Stopped by at high noon or a quick lunch realizing that "quick" here can be a lengthy wait. Only waited 20 minutes to get the far end seats at bar (great observation post!). Terrific service, magnificent oyster selection and we enjoy the clam chowder. A...More

To be fair it's a great atmosphere. A menu of different types of shucked oysters is the first thing you'll see at the front window. If you like oysters (we love them!) it looks great. They are great. That was the highlight. Everyone however tells...More

We were in line at 11.10 and only just missed the first sitting. Left our name / number and were called back in about 30 minutes.

Only negative point:The place is really small and it takes reservation only on the same day. So I found an over 2 hour waiting list queue when I arrived. Everything else, people and food was really amazing. Delicious oysters and lobster sandwich.

Cutest little place, on an even cuter little street. In the heart of Boston. We could have spent all day here. Talking to local's, visiting with our waiter, eating oysters and sipping cocktails! Cant wait to go back!!

The reviews said it was the best and we were not disappointed. The hot lobster roll and delicious salad in lieu of the fries were the best we had on our travels through Massachusetts and Maine. Well worth the wait. There are plenty of great places...More

Wonderful little cute place in Boston - still with an authentic vibe despite the amount of both locals and tourists visiting this place. The local oysters and the hot lobster roll is both a must and to die for - will go back any time...More

Everything looked great, but could not get in and was no method to the madness. Went to the restaurant one night and was turned away. They said to come back at 5:30pm and we could be a table. Came back 2 nights later at 5:30...More

While researching where to eat I learned that Neptune does not take reservations and to expect a 3 hour wait. As a resident of a foodie city I thought there is no food on this planet worth a 3 hour wait. There must be other...More

BEST food! Had 100s of restaurants to choose from and came back twice. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. Wait can often be 2.5-3 hours but it is worth it. They will take your phone number and you can explore the North End while waiting for...More

Check out Vito's Tavern on the very next block. Very nice, large selection, great ambiance, though a bit deafening. They get a lot of waiting traffic from Neptune. Neptune calls your cell about 10 minutes or so ahead of your... More
