Their vegetable spring rolls keep us coming in; fresh, crunchy, and healthy. And we can't get enough of the peanut sauce that accompanies it. But balance of the meals we've ordered, nothing to brag about. All have been served warm with generous portions. Taste is ok. Service is genuine, smiling servers abound, and the staff recognizes us when we dine.... More

One of the best Thai food I have had but am not sure if this is normal for US as we are from Australia. Larger portions and the meat was tender. Between 5 adults we had satay chicken sticks as an entrée with a tasty sate sauce on the side, chicken pad thai with large pieces of chicken & shrimp,... More

Had a good, tasty, comforting Thai dinner after a difficult weekend. Particularly liked the appetizers. Spiciness was adjusted for each diner's preference. Convenient parking nearby.

Wonder Spice Cafe, located in the pleasant Jamaica Plain neighborhood. offers mainly Thai dishes as well as a few Cambodian ones. The quality of the food is excellent, the service is friendly, the surroundings are pleasant. Highly recommended.

Terrible food. Soup tasted like condensed milk mixed with coconut. Thankfully they were out of spring rolls, so I only suffered with the soup. All the curry dishes were bland and tasted the same. Sadly, they contained no spicy at all. No one was happy with their meals, but after a long day in the city, we didn't have the... More

Overcooked entrees! Chicken and shrimp in my Pad Thai was so dry I needed a glass of water to wash it down. Same thing for my family's entrees. So disappointing!

We visit Jamaica Plain every July for about a week and Wonder Spice is an annual tradition. I have yet to find a restaurant where I live that serves Mango Curry. We love the tofu or shrimp. And definitely over brown rice. Yum!!!!!!

I came to Boston with my girlfriend for Memorial Day weekend and we tried this restaurant for regular dinner. The place is small and quiet, the service was good. Waitress was attentive. I tried the seafood noodles and this dish was very good. I also tried my girlfriend's dish that was the curry chicken, that was also good. The prices... More

I am so sorry to say it, but after hearing so many great things about Wonder Spice, i've tried it twice now and will never return. The first time my food was cold and the chicken really tasted awful/bad. I sent it back and got another noodle dish that was OK. Today i tried again with my whole family and... More

Staying in Jamaica Plain

Neighbourhood Profile
Jamaica Plain
This Boston neighborhood feels like a distinct community unique and separate from the bustle of other areas. Beautiful Victorian homes, restaurants with an emphasis on being eco-friendly and providing local and organic food, and a large Hispanic community. Visit Centre and South streets for restaurants, cafes, and little shops. The Arnold Arboretum is a beautiful, large green space well worth a visit if you venture to JP.
