This is one of my favorite places in Boston. Jacob Wirth's is a one of the oldest restaurants in Boston and it's like stepping back in time when you walk up to the door. It's a perfect dinner and drinks place any night of the...More

So I'm English but grew up in Germany. This is supposed to be a German restaurant but falls a long way short. It is what the owners think a German restaurant should be but I think they should perhaps visit the country first. I had...More

This is the third oldest continuously running restaurant in Boston, and you can definitely smell the history there. However, the rumor has it that it has been up for sale, and you can tell that the place is struggling. First of all, this is NOT...More

We dined at Jacob Wirth last night in a group of six. We ordered a round of beer, and had a full dinner. The beer was lukewarm, but some people like it that way… Just not me! Since it is a German restaurant, We ordered...More

We have stopped here 3 times when we are in Boston. It is old, but we like the décor. It is difficult to find German restaurants so we always get the German items on menu.

The food was ok - certainly filling and the service was ok. The ambience would have been quite fun but when we arrived there were songbooks on the table so we could sing along. Luckily, nobody did but the music really wasn't our taste -...More

You won't believe that you are still in Boston once you step into Jacob Wirth's German restaurant in the heart of downtown Boston. The long bar, the sturdy old tables, the truly atmospheric decor take one back to the Old Country, or maybe Chicago or...More

This place is definitely not fancy, but a great place for big beers, good pretzels, and fun times. If you can come on a Friday for the sing alongs with Mel, you will not regret it! He plays the piano, takes requests, and provides every...More

Yes, we did drink wine but I do not remember what kind, it was some month ago. But I remember it was OK - much better than the food!

Thank you for your question. The only dish we can make without seasoning is our burgers. All other dishes are mostly pre marinated. Please make sure to ask your server about your request when you arrive!
