I was there today, excellent seafood. But let me tell you, the owner/manager had horrible and short manners when he greeted me. Stocky guy, Italian looking, green T-shirt. To tell you the truth, he acted like he was just out of jail. Nice Chinese cook otherwise, he cooked in front of me.

If you like #seafood and #pasta 🍝, the The Daily Catch @ North End in #Boston #massachusetts is your place. Their signature dish is black pasta which is a linguine made with #squid ink 🐙 , fresh vegetables 🥒 , onions , mushrooms 🍄 and scallops . Their Sicilian style mussels are very interesting. Very small restaurant. Open kitchen. Very... More

While doing some exploring on Sunday, my sister and I saw the very long line to get into The Daily Catch for lunch right up until dinner. Of course, we were very curious about the food. On Tuesday, we went back to the restaurant for lunch and were were (thankfully) able to get a table. Lucky for us, we had... More

The Daily Catch at 323 Hanover Street is a quaint, unpretentious Sicilian-style North End restaurant, featuring just one room (with seating for about 40) and an open kitchen. This particular site does not take reservations and they only accept...CASH. The general mood is "communal" and that's a good thing because the food will lead to great conversation. To avoid long... I found The Daily Catch by accident. I was walking down Hanover St and stumbled on this tiny restaurant. The food was amazing. I was in Boston for a conference and my only regret was that I found it on last day. If I ever go back to Boston, The Daily Catch will have to be part of my daily... More

Love the clams and scallops with pasta was so much took home the leftovers. Sat at the bar to wait for my friends and had charbroiled clams and a glass of wine. I never felt rushed and the service was great.

We ALWAYS have at least one meal at the Daily Catch on Hanover Street before returning to Los Angeles. This personal ritual started over 35 years ago. Although the line at the Daily Catch can be daunting, a table for two frequently results in a fast seating. The restaurant only seats about twenty people. We stood in line for less... More

This place was recommended to us by a bostonian so, why not ? I tend to stay away from tourist traps and wanted something authentic, AND FRESH. As other reviewers wrote, the place is very very small. If you get there and several tables have just been given, your in for a long wait. I think the maximum number of... More

Truly a great place to have pasta and fresh sea food, but prepared for a long wait! The pasta is cooked to perfection accompanied by a selection of fruits of the sea. The black linguine (squid ink) and garlic is a must. The broccoli with garlic is a tasty side dish and if you are up to a variety, go... More

I really dont want to share thus place. I have to be honest and fair. This is not the cheese cake factory, olive garden or have anything in common. In fact if they are restraunts this place is something else. The most unique restraunt experience in Boston. Cash only and allways tip notch. No fresher tastier meal anywhere.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
