It's a nice place to have breakfast. The food is pretty good and the presentation is quite appealing. The ambience is nice. The waiting staff are fast and accommodating. One of our family placed his order late and they did their best to serve us simultaneously.

Good but not great food -but a fun setting with open doors and a young following that clearly enjoys the ambience.

On a lazy, relaxing, day off in Boston, we ducked into Sonsie for brunch. The front of the restaurant is ceiling to floor windows, and the tables face the street, so we had a perfect seat to watch the holiday shoppers and the first snow of the season. The Bloody Mary, made with pepper vodka, was nicely balanced. Best part?... More

Lunchtime on a Thursday with family. It was quite empty so not a lot of atmosphere to talk about. Quite dark & they seemed to dim the lights whilst we were in there. Good food. However, had the margherita pizza & it was really garlic-y. Good service but not really sure how to cater for children. Not bothered about a... More

This place has got a real buzz. Great menu and the drinks are really good too. Would recommend that you book though, it is always busy. Went there with a group of friends and had a brilliant meal - we were helped by our server who made some great recommendations.

I ate at Sonsie today with a few co-workers. Everyone was very pleased with their food - mushroom/onion pizza, lamb sandwich, burger and salmon. I was excited they had a gluten free menu but then disappointed when told the pizzas are completely cross-contaminated (so, NOT gluten free...). There were very few other options but I decided on the salmon entrée... More

Good food and good service but the quality of the interior, and ambience is a cut above all the other brunch restaurants in the are. The table was a little small but manageable. Loved the granola.

Great food, nice place, busy! We made our reservation on open table which I would recommend because it seems like quite a popular place. I had their squash ravioli and it was delicious. Towards the end of the night our server disappeared and it took a while to get our check but other than that, the experience was great.

This is by far the best brunch I have ever had. Seated with four adults and two children, the service was very attentive and friendly. You never got the feeling that they were rushed, even though the entire dining room was full. All choices at our table were winners, including the sweet bread brought to the table. The coffee is... We have enjoyed two pre-concert dinners at Sonsie. The Berklee Performance Center is a five minute walk. We have been back since for lunch-loved the seasonal apple specials!

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
