First meal in Boston after a long travel day. Near our hotel. Food was delicious! Interesting setting below the sidewalk.

This is a hidden gem. Sub-terrain but subpar food. I had the garlic soup and the scallop ravioli which was absolutely amazing and worthy of 5 stars. However, the service was so so. We were not proactively greeted and we watched guest after guest be...More

It was good food, quiet and quaint. Everything was made to order , fresh with homemade pasta. Fresh bread and good selection of wine.

Pleasant downtown midrange Italian. Comfortable---good service---quiet enough to talk (and hear). Good food and wine reasonably priced

Enjoyed dinner with six colleagues while in Boston on business. This is a cozy, comfortable restaurant with a cool vibe. Made reservations and glad we did since it was very popular- even on the Wednesday evening we were there. Creative, tasty cocktails! The service was...More

This restaurant is a hidden gem that we found on our way from the Freedom Trail to Boston Commons. The sauces were superb, pasta fresh and the cook allowed us to mix-match their signature dishes to our liking . This worked well with our teen...More

This restaurant was phenomenal. The price of the prix fixe really is a deal for what you get. I got the garlic soup, gnudi, and chocolate melting cake (the ice cream wasn't very good), while my husband got the piccata, fra diavolo, and the banana...More

I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! The food was amazing, portions were generous and the price was incredible! It's very small (maybe 12 tables) but the atmosphere is awesome, very warm really friendly, and really close to Boston Common! Already dying to go...More

Everything was perfect for lunch at Grotto today. Each in our group of 5 had a different entree, and each of us thought ours was the best. Pasta was made on-site; sauces were varied and delicious; waiter was patient as I lingered with out-of-town guests....More

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have

It is a couple of miles. I would take the Green Line on the T from one of the hospital stops to Boylston. It is a short walk from there.

Some on street parking is available in evenings and weekend....and there are a number of garages around that are reasonable for evening rates (i.e. $13.00 after 6pm).
