Went early on a Sunday nite. Promptly seated. Service was good. The eggplant mozzarella-carrozza app was awesome, would have been a good dinner entree.Caesar salad very good with home made dressing. Tubettoni genovese was excellent, cooked al dente with lots of seafood and a little...More

I have a daughter attending Boston College and this has always been our favorite place to go for dinner when we are in town. So we were disappointed with our last visit since the food while still good, was nowhere near as good as it...More

I dined at Florentine Cafe with a large family group. We made reservations far in advance and were seated promptly at a large table downstairs to accommodate our party. The server was very attentive and did a great job. My daughter loved the lobster ravioli....More

We had a window table and the ambience and people watching were great. However, three out of four people in my party ordered a pizza and they were terrible. Almost no marinara sauce or mozzarella cheese on the pizzas, hence they tasted dry and flavorless....More

Appetizers included: calamari, several salads, and mozzarella sticks. Entrees consisted of chicken marsala, diavolo, and lobster ravioli. The service...More

Had a dinner in this busy Italian District. Our first choice restaurant was fully booked. It was nice to sit by the open windows as it was a nice warm evening. Ordered swordfish as it was on special. Tasty.

We should have guessed the food wasn't that good when all the other restaurants had a 30-45 minute wait and at Florentine Café we walked right in. Atmosphere was good, nice décor. Waitress was good, but very low energy. My friend ordered the seafood stew....More

Went on a Friday night @ 8pm. Surprised that it was not packed. Had the mussels appetizer and it was very good...large mussels in a tasty red sauce. The calamari was below average...very heavy on the breading. The main meals were good but not great....More

Try the Lobster ravioli, it is excellent. The Veal Parmigiana was tasty but overloaded with extra pasta and the gnocchi were delicious. We felt a bit rushed by the servers but that did not detract from a very fun meal.

We were walking a bit aimlessly around the North End looking for a decent, but not expensive place for an authentic Italian meal. We checked TripAdvisor, saw a bunch of decent reviews and decided to go for it. We didn't enjoy our meal at all....More
