Enjoyed dinner with friends. Food was delicious - swordfish, chicken under a brick and chicken enchiladas. Then we split an order of churros - fantastic!! Our server, David, was also great - attentive but not too much, and very nice! Went on a Wednesday night and there were plenty of tables available. Weekends are apparently much busier.

Favorite was the Fried Queso Blanco. The rate AhI Tuna could have used more seasoning. The Sangria was very good! Ambiance was cozy and comfortable.

Went here when I visited my friend this past weekend and she recommended this place for brunch. The atmosphere was cozy, yet trendy. The food and the service were great.

Setting: Brilliant looking cute restaurant with nice plate service, however the location is not too convenient. I booked and arrived at 0955, queue soon formed behind me before the door opens. Food: Complimentary plantain cake / bread: Excellent, soft and "pillowy", however one side was slightly burnt. Plantain Empanada: Brilliant, deep plantain filling, freshly cooked, shell and pastry was fine.... More

We visited Masa last Sunday for the brunch fiesta menu which was great value for money. Both courses were great, fresh fruit to start followed by Creamy Scrambled Eggs with Chorizo and Mexican Farmer’s Cheese - accompanied with a Bellini!

Such amazing Tapas/ Spanish food! Service was great, and I really cannot stress how great the food was. I wish I could have this for dinner every night.

What a fabulous find, and Masa does a great job! Here for a weekend getaway in Boston, we had the craving for some zesty flavors for a Saturday brunch for two. Masa executed our desires with precision! It was great they were not only located within walking distance of the AirBnB where we were staying, but they also were listed... More

I wouldn't have thought of this place for brunch, but now to be honest, I'd love to go back. The place was very busy, and there were 6 of us snugged into a corner table. The menu was relatively small, but packed full of great options, as we chose our options. I opted for the pre-fixe though that wasn't what... More

Went for brunch, nice place. Good weekend brunch menu, good brunch drink selection. There's something just a LITTLE off about the entire place, but overall no complaints about the food. The service, sadly, was not good.

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner at Masa in Boston. The Negra Modelo braised pork and roasted chicken enchilada had great flavors of the southwest like New Mexico rather than Tex-Mex. There was also a wonderful corn bisque with a hint of chile. My husband enjoyed the margarita and I had my favorite Mexican beer, Negra Modelo. The... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
