What a great place for Friday dinner out. Started with Caprese salad for the table. Osso Bucco was a limited special cooked to perfection with a lovely sauce. My brother in law had the Haddock Putenesca which he really enjoyed. The eggplant Parmesan is always very good and the chicken piccata was delicious. The staff is great.

Excellent Italian restaurant in North End. Very helpful service. Food is made to order so don't be in a rush; but it is well worth the wait. Meatballs are famous and delicious. All of the sauces are special. Somewhat pricey but well worth it.

One recent cold and rainy day, my wife and I were in Boston for some business and decided to have an early lunch in the North End. Of course we had to drive around for a while to find a parking spot that wasn't marked "commercial vehicles only" or "resident permit only", but we did. I pulled up TripAdvisor to... More

I love it here! My family loves it here! They take reservations! The red sauce based food, such as chicken parmigiana is delicious. My son asked for the recipe for the sauce. Love it! Great for families. Wait staff is great.

I was born and grew up here. The best Italian food is cooked at home by my Mom. But, if Mamma is busy then this is the real deal. Ask for the specials. They don't over price them like some other places and all the food is so good!

As we were walking the Freedom Trail, walking through Little Italy, a local recommended Limoncello for dinner - so we went in an booked for that night. It is a obviously very popular and quite noisy. Tables are close together, but that was OK as we had a nice chat with our neighbours. The food was delicious. We had caprese... More

A couple of friends and I walked in for an afternoon drink... and didn't leave until late evening. We just wanted a glass of wine. The hostess seem apprehensive about letting us in for just a drink, but graciously showed us to their tiny bar that fits about 5 people. We ended up making friends with a couple locals at... More

Needed dinner suggestions and received from our hotel concierge. Looked it up on Tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. Most glad we did. Arrived on time at 6:30 pm. Placed was busy but were seated immediately. Tables are close together but that kind of adds to the atmosphere. Were served wonderful basket of a rustic bread, assorted olives,... More

Visited Limoncello for the first time with friends (who have been there a few times), on a couples trip. I loved the atmosphere, location in the North End, and the staff are true Italians! The food was amazing! Authentic Italian dishes! Dishes ordered: Penne Al Pomodoro, Lasagna Mediteraneo Raviolis Soecial, Meatballs, Rosette Al Montasio Ed Olio Di Tartufo! Not one... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
