We got there for an early dinner at 6pm so got a table for 5 right away. Seafood was soooooo good. The New England clam chowder was excellent. Pricey but really about the same as most tourist restaurants in Downtown Boston

We were in Boston on holiday and had been recommended to go to legal sea food, so we didn't make a reservation, they fitted us in and treated us brilliantly. Great service, amazing food, would highly recommend to anyone. Will definitely return.

Ate here while attending a business meeting in Boston. Great seafood and excellent staff. Went with a fairly large group and the restaurant graciously broke out our bill into individual tickets so everyone only had to pay for what they ordered. Easily accessible from the...More

Have been to Legal Sea foods many times, but never reviewed. In the old days- 25 years ago, this was a 2 location place, with a real niche for seafood. It has now spread out to be a local chain, and in my mind, the...More

Yes, it's a chain...so what??? My Cioppino was excellent!!! Very large portion of perfectly cooked shellfish....some of the best I've had. A must do when in Boston.

If you are visiting Boston you must try and visit a branch of Legal Sea Foods. We went to the one near Brookline - they are a little formulaic but the fish is so well cooked and absolutely delicious- especially if you enjoy lobster! Great...More

My first visit to Boston and to Legal Sea Foods, but I was impressed by the location and quality of service. They got my order wrong and brought the sole instead of the scallops. I told them the sole was fine and the manager comp'ed...More

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have

Sorry, I don't know. Better off trying Schermerhorns in Holyoke Mass 413-561-2978.
Do you still have the lobster casserole? I came to Boston 20 years ago and loved this! We are here through Thursday and would love to have this! Thanks, Karen & James.

The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish.

Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels.

We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods.

Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker.

We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.
