We're from landlocked western NY, so seafood is a delicacy to us. Former Boston residents, and our hotel"s concierge recommended this spot, but locals we talked to suggested against it because it's "a chain." It's a Boston based chain, that's been owned by the Berkowitz...More

Legal sea foods offers fresh and well-portioned dishes. Prices are what you expect for a sea food restaurant, but the food is delicious and staff are attentive. I ordered the scallop pasta and both parts of the dish were cooked to perfection!

Always have lunch here before returning to London but this time has to be the last. The famous clam chowder which we always order was way too salty. No other flavours coming through just salt,so we had to send it back. This is not something you...More

Best clam chowda and fried oysters. We went in for quick bite for lunch but were pleasantly surprised with the menu choices and opted for chowda and oysters along with the crab dip. So was all very good.

My friends all ranted and raved about the lobster rolls at Legal Sea Foods. I agree that it was good but not as good as the lobster rolls I had in Maine. Sorry. Maybe I was expecting too much after hearing the raves. The claim...More

The quality of seafood is very high. Service was good. Had the clam chowder to start and seafood casserole and filet/shrimp. Really enjoyed it. But the size of the dinner portions with the soup to start was too much! Split a meal unless you've got...More

Always fresh seafood at a great price. Many options of fish to choose from. Mussels and calamari appetizers are always good to start. Depending on LSF location you can have gluten free or whole wheat buns instead of the regular ones ( all are pretty...More

Legal Sea Food was the best choice we could have made when we were in Boston! The service was excellent. Our server in particular was excellent- thank you. We enjoyed the crab dip, oysters on the half shell and the grilled assortment. Legal Seafood is...More

We had a really good afternoon lunch at legal seafood , however, there were two things that prevented me from awarding this establishment five stars, Firstly was the continuous flow of buses that would stop opposite the restaurant and leave their engines running and the...More

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have

if memory serves they have a small patio out front but you would need to see the hostess first to make sure they have someone working the outside tables. weather permitting of course.

The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish. Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels. We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.
