Great place for lunch or dinner and walking distance from our hotel. No need for a car when visiting Boston. We arrived around 4:45 pm and it was packed. But lucky to have a spot at the bar. All of our food was good: tuna sashimi, Oyster app and fried clams was all very good. A lot people were waiting... More

I dined with a friend at Legal Seafood Long Wharf and was sick immediately after eating their scallops. After ingesting the first 2 scallops I knew they were off. I literally ran to the washroom and was sick to my stomach. While I was in there a staff member offered me ginger-ale. I went back to the table where we... More

I understand this may be a tourist destination and not a local favorite, but that doesn't mean it can't have the best stuffed lobster I've ever had...Because it does! Drinks, food and atmosphere are all good but the food makes this place worth a visit.

I used to visit this restaurant a long time ago when there were maybe 3 of them in Boston - it now has a distinct feel of a chain restaurant, and even if the seafood is still fresh and well prepared, there are better places in Boston where one can eat well

I wasnt expecting to find a Legal Seafood restaurant at the airport, so I was very pleased. We had a good dinner before departing on an evening flight. My crab roll was excellent- lots of crab meat, no filler. The fries were perfect- just crispy enough, but not overdone. Even the Cesar salad was good. Airport food can be disappointing,... More

We ate at a Legal Sea Food restaurant in Copley Place at the sidelines of a conference. We had to wait for a longtime, but once we had our table, service was swift and under the circumstances, rather good. Our waiter, while rushing us to order, was courteous and had good recommendations. I had a grilled fish which was good--nothing... More

Terrific food and service. A little noisy, bug for a chain, the menu was fresh and interesting. I'd go back.

The service and crab cakes in park way legal seafood are second to none. The lady serving us was chatty friendly and attentive. The clam chowder is also brilliant

Description
The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish.

Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels.

We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods.

Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker.

We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
