Meritage restaurant was recently renovated and has a new menu. Still excellent food, wine, and service. Food on menu is grouped by type of wine pairing. Cod and Filet mignon are always good choices.

The Meritage Restaurant has fantastic food and wine. We have eaten there half a dozen times over the past couple of years. The service is excellent as well. The recent renovation has enhanced the ambience.

Absolutely superb dining experience for actually reasonable prices. We went there for a dinner, casual dressed, only to discover everyone in fancy suits and dresses, but that was not a problem because everyone is welcome here! The appetizers were superb, especially the yellow tune, salmon...More

Have enjoyed Meritage in the past and my wedding anniversary provided a perfect occasion to experience all the new changes first hand. First off, the decor is much improved and the service is still very good. We had a great seat by the window and...More

Outstanding food preparation. Lobster gnocchi in light flavorful broth with delicious sprightly vegetables, perfectly prepared halibut with delicious accompaniment, with one of the best tenderloins of veal paired with excellent wine list. All this in a most elegant dining room renovated in the past year...More

Meritage is an absolute gem of a restaurant from the time of arrival until departure from what can only be described as a gastronomic delight. To begin with, I foolishly/mistakenly arrived at 7 pm for an 8:30 reservation. Fortunately it was a Wednesday evening and...More

Nothing here was bad, it just wasn't particularly good. Service was attentive but nervous. I had Halibut which was cooked well but not very flavorful (the sauce was like cream of wheat). And the total price for 2 including drinks was about $200. I have...More

When prices are very high, as they are here, the kitchen has to deliver. Meritage does. From appetizers (soft shell crabs; smoked salmon) to entrees (lamb chop; veal medallions) to dessert (deep, dark chocolate) plus delicious breads and a well-chosen cheese tray, nothing but success...More

My best friend and I ate here on the 4th of July having read that it was one of the best places to see the fireworks along with great food. It was nowhere near the fireworks, but we did see fireworks from other towns. I...More

Meritage Restaurant + Wine Bar is known for its excellence in wine and food pairings. The connection between wine and food, as well as Chef Daniel Bruce's deeply-rooted ties with vintners from around the world, are integrated throughout the dining experience - from the wine aperitif pairing that guests enjoy with their Amuse Bouche to the olive oil poured tableside from a different featured vineyard each month. Chef Bruce works with vineyards across the globe to source ingredients exclusively for Meritage that are incorporated into the menu, including citrus, spices, herbs, nuts, meats and other specialty items grown on the vineyards. The Meritage menu honors the restaurant's hallmark of matching wine to food and showcases Chef Bruce's extraordinary dedication to the finest ingredients. Native to New England, Chef Bruce has established longstanding relationships with local farmers and purveyors, and bases his menus solely on ingredients at the peak of freshness. Working with unusual and varied ingredients allows each dish on the menu to be unique while simultaneously enhancing the wine's flavor.
