Since writing my review of Wired Puppy a few months ago, they have changed owners. And other things have changed, too. While the inside set-up feels more spacious, the standard coffee is flavorless, and the the people who work their are not so friendly and welcoming like the group of young kids that used to work there. I've tried it... More

The irony in the name "wired" does not miss this coffee joint. The mocha was duh-lish, and the vibe of the brownstone-inspired locale was on point for those who enjoy the spirit of drinking coffee. Beyond the act, but whatever intrinsic feel imbibes your spirit upon tasting an unknown brew, the overall jiggy of this place is calming and chillaxified.

I am a big coffee lover, and as much as I enjoy Starbucks, I always like to go to independent coffee shops wherever possible. Before a recent trip to Boston, I looked in to the best places, and the Wired Puppy was recommended. We visited one morning before a shopping trip, and it gave us enough energy for the day!... More

Not a lover of Starbucks coffee, wanted something different. Found this place online. Great coffee, nice and earthy flavour, we both had a muffin "Morning Glory" was a bit like a carrot cake, delicious! Would definitely visit again and the staff were very pleasant!

I always prefer to go to local cafes to support small business and to try some great cofee. This time I was disappointed. The place itself is very nice but the staff wasnt very attentive and the coffee wasn't very good. Also the food selection isn't great

There are lots of places to get your morning coffee in Boston. Wired Puppy is my main go-to place. Located on Newbury Street near Fairfield Street, WP is small like all shops on Newbury. It's great for quick takeouts, but if you want to hang out, there's a room in the back for reading, checking your email, or chatting with... More

This is a real coffee shop even for the most fussy. Every version of coffee and every origin. Great macchiato. Place to keep going back to . The manager / owner needs to find a personality though. Outstanding coffee so what can you say

Their coffees may be good, but their hot chocolate was not good nor hot. Wasn't very impressed with it.

The staff here are always overly friendly and are quick to strike up a convo. The issue is they're all very slow. You can wait up to 20min to get a drink on the weekends. So I guess mixed review. The vibe inside is cool and calm. Along with the coffee there's some good baked treats.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
