We walked to Thaitation from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum for a light lunch. Service was very attentive; we shared an order of Spring Rolls (delicious) and then had the coconut milk chicken lemon grass soup (full of white meat chicken)and the sweet and soup soup. This was just enough to satisfy on a cold winter day.

My college-aged daughter and I stopped in on a weeknight. We wanted to try a new place and went here on TAs recommendation. Apps: We had some of the best chicken satay I've ever had. The dumplings were good, not great. Mains: I had the drunken noodles and my daughter had the chicken pad Thai. Her dish was excellent! Mine... More

We stopped here fo a late lunch. The place is attractive, some nice somewhat oriental prints on yellow walls, seating for around 75 guests. It was almost empty. We enjoyed our meal. Fried Thai ravioli and na tong (crisp jasmine rice squares with a dipping sauce both excellent. The chicken and coconut soup very good. Roast duck, mermaid chicken, and... More

Enjoyed Thaitation before a Yankees game. Scallion pancakes were ok. Mango curry was delicious. Extensive menu, food was fresh, good service.

We stopped here after a walk from the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum - what a lovely treat. Clean, wonderful service and delicious food. One minor complaint is that each meal is delivered one at a time. I was a third done before my husband got his food. But overall, a wonderful little place.

This is some of the best Thai food that I've had outside of London. All of the dishes had unique flavors. The Khar Guy Yum was yum. The mango sticky rice at the end of the meal was to die for!

Forget their ugly name ! This is standard Thai cuisine with the favorites carefully prepared and served with a Thai smile.

A short peaceful walk across the Fenway or about a third of a mile and my friend and I were immersed in a whirl of exotic flavors. My friend had a Green Lady, salmon poached in green cabbage with vegetables steamed in what seemed like a coconut-infused broth—extremely yummy. I had a crisp greens salad topped with sliced chicken, tofu... More

Only a few minutes off the main drag it's the favorite of locals. Service is great, food is fast and fresh. You can request how spicy (or not spicy) you want your food. They have parking in the alley if you're driving, but don't forget to tell them which spot you parked in. Also good for take out and delivery.... More

We were upset to find bad food at Thaitation. This restaurant had previously been true to the tradition of highly rated Brown Sugar restaurant after the employees bought it and changed its name. You could enjoy reliably gratifying food and one of the best deals in Boston. BUT, we found tasteless Pad Thai -- unexpected for a signature dish. The... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
