After not being allowed in a couple of pubs on Boylston Street, have to be over 21 after 8:00, we ended up in Max Brenner. It's a fun looking place and was very busy. They have a great selections of chocolate drinks and other desserts and we very good. The Grilled Waffle Cuban was mediocre at best and my daughter... More

Chocolate goes on anything. Cake. Ice Cream. Chocolate. Fruit. Waffles. Pizza with Marshmallows. There is caramel, And melted marshmallows. Chocolate is rich. Velvety and runs like indoor plumbing. This is a place for indulging the kid inside. If there is a birthday, bring earplugs. Not a date place too distracting and if you do not want to make a mess... More

I have heard many great things about Max Brenners. I should have realized that everyone only told me about their desserts and not their dinner. I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad on a Waffle (The waffle seems silly, but that's how it comes.) I was brought a Chicken Cheese Steak waffle. I inquired with the waitress and said, I don't... More

Max Brenner is overrated and over-priced. The presentation and concept are great, but the quality of the chocolate, ice cream and cake is not impressive at all. Burdick's chocolate is far superior, much purer and richer. We ordered three desserts, with tips it came to $75! Good allergy info, though. A plus.

My friend and I have been your regular customers and we will continue to be. We stopped by the little chocolate corner to grab the fresh strawberries dipped. Then we decided to do get the chocolate bits for fondue at home. We asked the lady at the register who slightly gave us attitude. We understood that we may have disturbed... More

Unbelievable decor and service. If it is chocolate they serve it. Manufactured under the strictest quality control everything is wonderful. Age appropriate from infant to 100. A must see when touring greater Boston. Though I am allergic to soy and dairy they even had something for me. YUM

We went on a Saturday night and the wait for 2 was about 30 minutes. We had 2 different waiters throughout our meal - not sure why. I ordered a steak Panini which was good, not great. My partner ordered the cobb salad which he said was unbalanced in the amounts of certain ingredients (way too much bleu cheese, not... More

If you love chocolate, you have got to go! The best desserts ever! In my mind the best dish is The Spectacular Melting Chocolate S’mores Sundae. Amazing!

Description
Max Brenner, Chocolate by the Bald Man, the first restaurant entirely devoted to chocolate, provides a "chocolate mood:" a person being surrounded by huge bricks, candles, pralines, colorful toy tins and crates filled with cocoa beans. Each person"s chocolate experience is exclusive to the individual as it brings out different emotions in each and every person. This can be experienced at our retail shop and dining room. In addition to our unique chocolate, we also offer delicious savory foods. Whether it is our famous Brenner Burger or Mac & Cheese, there will be something for everyone in the group!

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
