I made a reservation here based on reviews and when we arrived (15 minutes early) the hostess let us know the people at the table we would be sitting at were just finishing up so we decided to sit at the bar and order drinks. I watched several couples come in after and get seated almost right away (no reservation).... More

I found this North End gem during Thanksgiving weekend. It is a classy, yet unprententious place. I had fussilli with vodka cream sauce. and shrimp. it was some of the best pasta I have ever had and was very filling. The staff is very professionally dressed and attentive

Food was exceptional, great. Even though we had a Groupon, the service was excellent. The waiter was very helpful and our order was prepared fast. We would go back any time.

The food and the service were one of the best experiences I have had ever. I listened to the recommendation of the waiter, amazing!! Can not wait to come back to Boston and eat here again.

My mouth is watering just thinking about the meal we had at Nico a couple of days ago. Generous portions, super fresh, artfully plated, and so so so delicious. The veal saltimbocca was the best I've ever had; so tender I could cut it with a fork. Flawless service and a charming setting. Not cheap, but reasonable prices. We loved... More

Nico's homemade pasta is amazing. I almost wished I only ordered a simple pasta dish just be able to eat the homemade pasta. The lobster ravioli was good although I wasn't able to taste the lobster as well as I thought based on previous reviews. The special of the day was a seafood medley which was excellent. The sizes of... More

We love eating in the North End and we've been to many if the restaurants there. But we may have found the best at Nico's. Wonderful service, friendly wait staff. Incredible specials. We had a calamari special appetizer, swordfish and the chopino for dinner. magnificent. Paired with a nice Chianti. OMG We had read reviews saying the portions were small,... More

This is a popular Italian restaurant in the North End. There are over 100 here so I'm not sure how all the italian restuarants in this part of town differentiate from each other, but out of theose we tried this was the best. Service was good and the food was excellent and there was a definite leaning towards great seafood.... More

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Nico's on New Year's Eve. Great service only surpassed by an amazing Cioppino and delicious Pork Shank with lobster pasta.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
