the restaurant is lively, loud and good. It is great to go an sit at the bar, or go for a drink or a sit down dinner. I do find the food a tad more expensive than I feel it is "worth", however you can always get pizza and a salad and the chef is rather well known, to say... More

Ate here for lunch on day and dinner a couple days later. The place was packed for dinner and the food was all good and unique. I enjoyed the lobster pizza the best and the other dishes were good too...Overall very nice, just a little pricey.

Food is unparalleled. Our server is one of the best I have ever had. He made us feel welcome and helped us enjoy the experience. Décor is great. Menu a little confusing with the breads and pizza scrunched at the top. He helped us navigate through various choices. Two complaints, too loud and they sat us (four adults) next to... More

We were brought into the dining room on one side that had several tables with all small parties and with two open tables along the windows. The host brought us back to the front and then to the other side of the restaurant with all the tables made up of parties of 6 or more. One table had 12 and... More

In this supposedly upscale restaurant, the food is not outstanding, and the service is appallingly slow. If you need a restaurant inside the hotel, go to The Clink.

If it weren't for the high noise level, I would call this one of the great restaurants of the world. Caesar salad, lobster risotto, charcoal grilled duck, pasta with pumpkin, all wonderful. Unremarkable desserts. We go to Boston just to eat there.

We were staying in The Liberty Hotel and did not want to venture so we tried Scampo. Service was very attentive, they brought bread sticks with a type of sauce and garlic bread before we ordered. Our meal and presentation was very good. Even on a Sunday night it was very busy and lively. Would definitely recommend.

Considering the amount of hype this place gets, I was expecting a lot more. The food was okay. Everything was okay. Nothing was spectacular or something you couldn't get anywhere else.

The food never fails. Service is always good. And drinks always flow. I like this place bc it's not set in the midst of everything. You can relax.

We ate Thanksgiving dinner at Scampo and enjoyed most every aspect of the experience. Kurt, our waiter, was friendly and extremely professional. With one minor exception, the food ranged from good to outstanding and they had a great menu with a haddock entree and prime rib in additional to the traditional turkey. Food: The fennel salad was great. My husband... More

The stunning first floor restaurant in Boston’s Liberty Hotel, Scampo, is a culinary destination created by legendary chef Lydia Shire and The Lyons Group in April of 2008. In Scampo, Shire’s reputation for defying tradition translates into Italian-inspired cuisine unrestrained by borders, drawing on flavors from the Mediterranean and Middle East. Scampo is a reflection of Chef Shire: bold, red and full of energy. The contemporary space features shiny copper lanterns, a glowing orange bar and seating overlooking the mozzarella bar.
