We happened upon this for a late lunch. We were only going to have a couple of plates....too good so we ordered more. Pleasant setting, good service. Green beans, shrimp and beef, dumplings. Mouth watering.

It’s our first night and we heard Asheville had some amazing international cuisine. How lucky to stumble upon Red Ginger next to a brewery stop. The green beans, wonton soup, potstickers, fried rice, dumplings, and service (ask for Cailin) were top notch. “Balling”per my husband...and...More

The dimsum is awesome at this restaurant and I would highly recommend it. However, there aren't any tapas dishes. Not sure why Tapas is in the name. There is no spanish food here.

The portions are small overall but one does not come here for a big meal, think tapas and order a few tasty dishes to try. The service was nice and efficient. And I love the little oriental candies on the way out.

Great experience at Red Ginger. Food arrived quickly and service was great. Dimsum and tapas is such a great way to enjoy different types of food. We tried about 7 different dishes and enjoyed every one.

Food, service and vibe was very good and the place was hopping. However, we had reservations and essentially the manager (maybe owner?) said he didn’t have a table for us because they were crazy busy and had no tables because of walkins. Sooo why take...More

Tables can be rather close together. Might depend on the age and behavior of the kid/baby.

As far as I remember, there is no specific parking for the restaurant. Downtown is busy but there are parking decks that you can use. On street parking is just a matter of luck and you might have to feed a meter.

Located in Downtown Asheville, Red Ginger is an authentic Chinese dimsum and tapas bar from the esteemed Chef Tai Tsi Lam and Hao Jiang. Red Ginger's constant goal is to deliver traditional, healthful, and elegant Chinese-style tapas and dim sum to our vibrant mountain community, providing customers with the most authentic and fulfilling dining experience possible. In contrast to the more traditional dim sum experience, wherein guests choose dishes from a rolling cart, Red Ginger embraces a dynamic and interactive dining experience: our open kitchen allows you to truly become a part of the experience that is dim sum, giving you an inside look into the artistry of our seasoned chefs. All dishes consist solely of freshly prepared ingredients, transported directly from local farms straight to your table! And we take it one step further - our extensive and delicious assortment of wines are carefully and lovingly cultivated from our own local vineyard, delivering the highest quality in taste and experience to our valued customers.
