After reading a Rachel Ray recommendation, we chose Early Girl as our brunch choice. Great choice! The menu is varied and everything we saw come from the kitchen looked wonderful. I chose a corned beef special (yum) and my husband had the Porky's Breakfast Bowl....More

Another recommendation from a local that can't be missed. Quirky and fun - a throwback to the 50's - and it feels like home. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. There were too many delicious options to choose from! You won't...More

I have had some good meals here, usually breakfast. A recent one was just strange. A favorite used to be sweet potato sramble but on this day it was overcooked eggs, undercooked potatoes, and practically tasteless sausage. The biscuits might have come from a neighborhood...More

We went for vegetarian options and were so pleased! A tempeh Reuben sandwich, avocado sprout sandwich and a cheese and pickled veggie platter were on point. And we couldn't resist the banana pudding. After a morning hike for two florida girls who are out of...More

While shopping in Asheville we went to the Early Girl Eatery for lunch and found it to be a local gem. The food is definitely North Carolina favorites and the servings are large. It was fairly crowded, and it is pretty small, so waiting is...More

Early Girl is the real deal. The atmosphere is downtown Asheville. The food and the good people who work there will make this unique restaurant a regular stop, whether you are a local or a returning visitor. My favorite meal is the "pork bowl."

A group and I went here for lunch because one of us liked it. The entry is a narrow isle past the cooks which is very hot. The dining area is very 1950's with plastic tablecloths and very little fresh air. From lack of lunch...More

We had a 30 minute wait on Saturday morning at 8:30 but it was worth the wait. The food was delicious. They offer a big variety of breakfast and brunch foods. Our service was excellent. We highly recommend this place!

Love it!! We stopped in for breakfast and got seated right away. Our waitress was super sweet as well and always made sure our coffee cups were full. Our food was made quickly and delicious!!

I believe so. For instance they use croutons made out of grits for their salads. I had a friend with Celiacs visit me here, and we found that it's pretty easy to find gluten free options in most restaraunts. There is a... More
