Jack of the Wood was delightful! We went on a Tuesday night to this colorful, noisy Irish pub, only to find great food and drink and a Zydeco band! Amazingly fun to have that combination! They seem to have live music every night.

Dropped in to Jack of the Wood to hear some Bluegrass music from another of the plentiful local groups who play for the tip jar. This quartet was amazing! I've never seen fingers pick so fast. Add to that a strong beer selection and some really good pub food and I'm sorry we left this venue for our last night... More

What a wonderful place. Second time visiting and was not disappointed. Good selection of beers, food is tasty, service was excellent. We were there on a Thursday night and the music was fantastic. I highly recommend it. Try the pork belly tacos if they have them.

Fun atmosphere, good band, $5 cover. I ordered a soft drink and it came with alcohol in it, so that was bad. My husband took over that drink, and I ordered another and they got it right this time. Hey, it was loud in there.

Stopped in twice during our visit, each night specifically to hear local bluegrass/mountain music. First night was a jam session and the musicians played and played traditional bluegrass. Second night was a band that invited participants. They had an elderly veteran join them to provide vocals and it was amazing. Good pub food too.

Good food, nice service and a great atmosphere. We went early, and the kids loved the food too. Great local cider on tap. Husband loved the Guiness stew.

My husband and I loved our experience here. We've been checking out some breweries and I knew from my time in Asheville that JOTW is a favorite. We went on a Wednesday afternoon so it was slower when we arrived but we had some great beers (I Love the alagash white!) And we also had a burger and the cheesy... More

They had bluegrass musicians when we went, which I believe it usual. They were very good. Neat atmosphere and would definitely go again. Is kind of your quintessential Irish pub.

My husband & I came here on Sunday 26 Feb at night for music, drinks, and dinner (in that order)! When we first walked in they had several local musicians doing a jam session which was awesome. We were seated right away and our waitress was Christina who was new on the job. The bar/restaurant was very busy and it... More
