This place should be on everyone's must go while in Asheville....if you can get in. The bar is located on a tiny fire escape terrace and there's minimal seating. If you can get a spot during sunset though, you're in for a treat. The drinks are expensive but they're also excellent and very well-made. Would not recommend going if it... More

Visited with some girlfriends in February and this was the best view in Downtown! They had tasty cocktails and a great atmosphere.

I'm very glad we decided to pop into this place and enjoy the sunset our last night in Asheville. We were there during the off season and I can imagine how crowded this can get during warmer months. The little elevator with the attendant was like many things in Asheville a quirky little touch! I thought my salted caramel cocktail... More

Great views and really fun location. How often do you get to sit on a fire escape and drink? A bit of a wait but totally worth it!

After eating at a nearby restaurant, my boyfriend and I caught the sunset over the mountains. We had to wait for the elevator for a few minutes, but it was well worth the wait. The view is incredible. Note: the elevator is small with an operator. I think only 5 people can go up at a time. it is a... More

SO glad we asked our Segway tour guide if there was a bar with a view in town. Holy hell, this may have been the best thing about our Asheville trip! A bar on a fire escape, in an old building, with proper cocktails!?!? Heaven. What a unique experience in a unique city. 4 of us cozied up in a... More

Great old building with awesome views of downtown Ashville. Was a little chilly but worth the trip. Service was very good with old time cocktails and snacks

A tiny place with a big view! Enjoy standing out on a narrow patio overlooking the city. One of the best city views in town.

Enjoyed the beautiful sunset view from the SkyBar balcony. It isn't classy on the balcony because it is just a fire escape for an old building, but the view of the city is great. Wonderful for relaxing while having a glass of wine while watching the sun set.

Such a unique experience: elevator service, spectacular sunset views, and artisanal drinks all from a built out fire escape! Even if you miss sunset, the city is beautiful lit up at night and provides the most romantic backdrop. A visit here will add a unique spin to your Asheville experience.
