Many of the reviews complained that the chicken pho did not contain enough chicken. I disagree - my wife's and my pho had plenty of chicken (all white meat). The large bowl is huge. The menu is varied, but most everybody was ordering pho. The broth is very tasty - not too salty, but very light. The restaurant is clean... More

I'm convinced that the people who rated this high do not know what pho should taste like. It's bland and doesn't quite have the right flavors nor sides. Definitely not worth the wait to get in either.

It's been a few years since the first time I discovered Turtle Tower. It's still the same unpretentious restaurant that served delicious soups with quick, efficient service. We were welcomed by the soft-spoken owner. I enjoyed my fresh, warm, and tasty bowl of Phở Chín. With a squeeze of lime, the flavors are further enhanced. It was my boyfriend's first... More

This place is known for their chicken noodle soup. You wont find the different types of pho here. the menu is simple. chicken or beef noodle soup. The noodles are flat rice noodles that doesn't clump. Always get the chicken noodle soup and add tons of jalapenos. and the lime. Lines can be long but its a no frills eatery.... More

Very nice Pho restaurant for northern Vietnamese cuisine . Pretty upscale for the neighborhood and accepts credit cards! Only open for lunches.

I am not a fan of Vietnamese food, so when my family wanted to go here I was reluctant. I am just not wild about soup or noodles and like something a bit more substantial. I ordered a cuttle fish cake which was good, spring rolls which were OK, and boneless chicken which was bland. Substantial. Cost about $10. They... More

Disclaimer: I'm a huge fan of Turtle Tower. Personally one of the better restaurants in SF, definitely for the value, too. I enjoy so much about it. - flavors - service - price So much that I go here ~once/month. Insider tip: it's the best hangover cure :).

Great broth to highlight the noodles. Tender slices of beef. Felt like I was in Hanoi at one of the busy noodle joints. 90% of the clients were asian and the restaurant was packed; generally a line for lunch. Nice photographs of Vietnam on the walls.

A group of us went searching for some Vietnamese food. When we walked in all you could smell was dirty musky towels. Not sure if they washed the floor with a filthy mop or washed the table with an old Rag....either way it was so overwhelming. The wait staff were slow and missed several of our drink orders. The food... More

Our gourmet dishes are prepared with love and care to preserve the flavors of Northern Vietnam. We use only fresh free-range chicken, high quality beef, and our noodles are always freshly made. Our soups are served without bean sprouts, basil, and hoisin sauce, as is the Ha Noi tradition.
