Perbacco was the restaurant we chose to usher in 2018. Perhaps the staff dreaded having a family of 6 at their first NYE sitting - but we were shoved up the back and pretty much ignored. The restaurant had been highly rated, but I found...More

I decided on a whim to have lunch here a week before Christmas. I entered around 12:45, the place was mobbed. Hostess told me I was welcome to the bar, as no reservation was needed. Only one bartender was working and every seat was taken...More

We had an excellent meal here on our last night in SF. The restaurant is large, lively and very nice. Not inexpensive, but worth it. The truffle buratta was outstanding, as were the pastas. Our entire family really enjoyed it.

Nice clean environment. Standard menu, good wine list, staff polite. Not a bad place to have a meal but be careful.... portions are large.....

This is an upscale restaurant... so don't think the typical neighborhood North Beach italian restaurant. That said, you will get great Italian food with a modern twist. I prefer Seven Hills because the atmosphere is intimate and food modern, but this place has scale and...More

Had lunch with a business colleague yesterday at this restaurant. Outstanding experience. Great menu offering and wine selection. Both our pasta choices were excellent. Staff was attentive but not overly so—just the right amount. Will certainly return and probably for dinner next time.

Even a simple beet salad here is unique, and interesting. All pasta dishes we’ve tried were phenomenal. Great service.

Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but
can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s
version of Wall Street. The rush of business people
make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of
life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the
narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of
historic and contemporary architecture, including the
iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours,
