Nice location. If you think you have done enough excercises and burnt calories . You can go to this decent restaurant for a fat rich North Indian food.

Conveniently located near businesses and hotels, I thought I would get a good spicy Indian meal and a drink...solo after work while visiting SF on business. Good selection of Scotch and Indian beers made up for the total lack of spice and flavor on the food. The curries had the right coloring but lacked the flavor. Major disappointment, and totally... Checked out the website before I headed over. When I looked at the menu, everything was $2-$4 more than what the website advertised. It really bothers me when restaurants don't update their website. While my dinner was good, it was $4 more than I expected to pay per the website. The portion size wasn't that big, as most indian restaurants... More

While the food is very good, it's the peace and quiet that is not found is many SF restaurants. Great for conversations with friends.

+Good ambiance was good and service was courteous and prompt +Very good in taste + Chutney (sauce) served with the food was excellent :-) - I had asked for spicy but it was mild but then I guess they have to cater to the needs of non-Indians and may have their benchmarks accordingly, because of the subjectivity involved here, I... This used to be a destination. The food is bland, the service is pretentious. Avoid. There are a lot of great restaurants in the area. Sad, because Indian is one of our favorite cuisines.

Their food is delicious and spicy. I liked it 😋. The waiters are friendly. Parking is there but expansive. It is a good restaurant for Indian food

This is a great place to have a nice Indian meal with great service. The nan bread was great as well , in my group chicken tikka masala, a number of vegetarian dishes and a lamb curry was also ordered , no one had any complaints and everyone loved their food.

Gaylord's serves Indian food somewhat more upscale than many of the Indian restaurants in the City. Dinner is a bit on the pricey side, but the lunchtime buffet, frequented by lawyers and bankers working downtown, is a real bargain.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
