I live in SF. I come here frequently enough. One reason why is on my second visit the staff remembered my name, where I worked, and what I'd ordered...6 weeks prior...and this is a BUSY place. Both the spicy crab or shrimp are solid meals that stand out in Fisherman's Wharf. The chowder is creamy and you get a generous... More

Precious wanted a crab. She wanted one of those really big crabs with a lot of meat on it. We intended to get it at a market and ask her cousin to cook it, but when we walked off the SF Bay boat tour, she was hungry. There are a lot of restaurants in this area, and we walked around... More

Serves all the regular San Fran foods but with an italian focus . . . cute tacky decor. Expensive but potions generous and you pay for the location. . . but no real view . . . Better off eating takeaway crab/soup from outside sidewalk counter.

We stopped here after seeing all the yummy food on the warf. It was ok. We were hungry and were not sure what we were ordering so we got two crab sandwiches. it felt like I was eating mayo and crab.. not sure what I expected. The bread was good but everything else just ok. Loved our server because we... More

Nothing great or awful, just very average food, tired setting (with poetic license may be described as historica) and high prices. To be fair the seafood scene in San Francisco attracts premium pricing everywhere but the Lobster Thermidor at $39 + taxes was very small and very ordinary indeed. Add disinterested service and this venue really doesn't cut it. Location... More

We got a table with uncomfortable seating and ordered a 1/2 crab and a Bouliabasse. We discovered soon we have eaten better crab before. A crowded and noisy environment did not make our experience better and it got worse when we should pay - expensive! We concluded afterwards that despite we were tourists, we should know better and have avoided... More

I'm actually salivating as I think about our experience! We both enjoyed the Fettucine de Zafferano Saffron (fettucini with scallops & prawns in a white wine & garlic sauce with green onions & fresh tomatoes). Sopped up the sauce with the awesome bread & went back for MORE the very next day.

As I mentioned in my review of Crab Station, you can not go wrong with any of the fresh crab on the Wharf, as long as it's the same price. The one thing Nick's has is the option to dine-in in a nicer atmosphere. It has more of a classier vibe with actual seating and lighting geared more towards fine... More

Had been walking around the wharf literally for hours exploring the sites and had walked early to the Golden Gate Bridge. Was on my way back towards the Bay Bridge and popped over to Nick's for a cup of lobster bisque and it was wonderful. I was by myself, so I just grabbed a silver stool and sat outside and... More

So many choices for seafood, my girls selected Nicks as they wanted crab bisque. The ambience is old Italian style with dim lighting, booths, red trim, our waiter personable, very busy, had to ask for bread and drink refills. We ordered the clam linguini, bisque and seafood cannelloni stuffed with crab & shrimp. No major complaints on the food, the bisque... More
