The place seems a little run down/old but the food was very good. They offer a variety of small plate selection to have a light lunch. The service was very quick and more than one person was making sure we had what we needed.

We stopped because they were open late (9:30 pm) and it had been recommended by a local store worker. Our garlic chicken had hard chunks of dried garlic which stuck to my teeth. Wait staff was very attentive.

I stopped here on my journey from Union Square back to Fisherman's Wharf. The food is good, the service is quick and the staff are friendly. I only opted for a chow mien but nonetheless it was very tasty.

Over the at twenty years this was our go to place for Chinese food. NO MORE. Last year my wife developed food poisoning ad we attributed it to the shrimp she ate. Everyone else in our party ate the same items, she was the only one to have shrimp. We have noticed the cleanliness level dropping over the years along... More

We called in here for dinner as we weren't feeling very well. Asked if they could do up some chicken noodle soup and there was no problem. It was very nice and hit the spot just nicely. Very reasonably priced also.

The food was amazing. They have a set menu which had soup, rice and other dishes which were very good. The decor reminds you on old Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong movies. The experience would have been better if they clean their lanterns and paintings. It is just going to waste. Besides that, food is amazing!

Walk into this restaurant, and you are transported to historic China, with palatial chandeliers, giant murals, and decorations brought over from China. Ask for one of their private booths for a very special dining experience, with the curtain closed, the place feels all yours. It was established in 1920, and is the real deal. All of their food I've tried... More

Food was awesome, we were in China town and did not know what to eat. When we went in it was clean. I got egg rolls and they were super good. I also got rice soup and it was really good. The service was fast. Don't listen to reviews that saw that this restaurant is bad. It also has options... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighbourhood decorated with colourful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighbourhood.
