Stopped in for an afternoon snack! The shakes are delicious and the burgers are yummy too! This one wasn't as terrific as the Los Angeles location, but it was still a fun stop!

Mel's is kind of an institution in San Francisco. So, if you know you want to stop for breakfast while driving through town, this is a good place. It's diner food. There's nothing fancy, nothing special. You get good, well-cooked basic food. We got seated...More

Atmosphere was pretty cool with the old jukeboxes at your tables. For a quarter you can chose a song. The food was average. Pretty expensive.

We walked in for dinner around 6pm and the place was empty. We ordered Burgers and grilled cheese. The service was good and the food was cooked to perfection. The diner has alot of items from the 60's and we were impressed with the American...More

Hey it's a diner . . . not fine dinning. The food is good for the price. The waiters are on the spot with your order, until it gets crowded. What's cool about this place is the 50's nostalgia and juke box.

We went here twice for breakfast, everything was fine and with typical American portions! If you just order sides that is fine and then not overwhelmed with food. Food was freshly cooked and the service was fine.

We ate here for our last meal in the US. Food was good, atmosphere was great. Servings were plentiful.

Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.
