What an amazing place, so happy we found this gem. Joe looked after us and served a great breakfast with a chat, lots of good coffee and a smile. The best day to any day; an antidote to grey weather, high taxes and depression

What can I say about this place? What struck me the most was when we walked past the place and it was so fabulously decorated ready for Christmas. Walking round the Castro there are lots of restaurants and eateries; but I quite fancied the authentic...More

This is an old fashioned hole-in-the-wall diner. It is small with cramped seating at the counter and a few booths. The waitstaff is brusque but friendly. You don’t have to worry about ever having an empty coffee cup. They keep it filled with fresh brewed...More

This place has a lovely local feel with the staff greeting customers by name and chatting warmly with everyone. The prices are decent and the food comes on the kind of enormous scale that intimidates most Europeans. The food was good, tasty and well cooked,...More

50's style booths and decor. Great hamburgers and chocolate brownie. Your host Joe loves everyone, but you are his favorite... he's a great host. Enjoy the ambiance, soak up the sights and have a good meal

Great space to be in as it is all-American. Love the jukeboxes, love the lighting, love “the vibe” but the food we had was really average fare. There was nothing wrong with my huge side salad with blue cheese dressing or my breaded shrimp and...More

The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San

the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As
one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in
the United States and currently its largest, it
