While this is basic Tex Mex, the food is always well prepared and there is a great sense of fun in the restaurant and I like that.

You need to call to reserve a table for dinner. The Margarita's are great, the food is abundant and very, very good!! The service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere fun!

I've always wanted to try El Toreador but it was usually full on weekends, but this time it was a weeknight and we got in. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The waiter introduced himself and was very efficient throughout the evening. He explained agave to us since they don't have a full liquor license. He let us... More

Love the place from decor to the food! Walked in and was immediately seated for lunch and a bowl of chips and salsa was brought to the table while we looked at the menu. As it was not my first time there, I knew what I wanted - beef enchilada with Chile Relleno served with refried beans, Spanish rice, and... More

Decent Mexican food with a cool indoor ambience. Horrible waiter, and horrible service. He practically threw our food on the table. My strawberry margarita barely had any alcohol in it. Wouldn't return.

the mango relleno was a one of a kind find for me - unique combo of flavors- served a bit wet for my taste but worth a try for anyone who likes a mango flavor combo in an entree

My husband and I went to this neighborhood Mexican restaurant to get a take-out, and were very disappointed with the quality of the food. Our lunch veggie burrito was nothing but a tasteless pile of boiled white rice with two spoonfuls of beans and a slice of lettuce. Spices, even salt, were non-existent. We were just grateful that we didn't... More

If San Franciscans no longer obsess over wardrobe, they're as food-conscious as ever. As is the case in any part of the Southwest, there is a large Hispanic community in San Francisco. Mexican restaurants are common here and everyone has a favorite. When I'm in San Francisco and in the mood for Mexican food, my family and I head to... More

This is better than average Mexican-American eats. Extensive beer list and very reasonable prices. Closed on Mondays. The Mexican Bowl is a great lunch option. Ask for their Salsa Verde...one of my favorites. You can put your name in and have a drink next door at McCarthy's bar and they will get you.

We have been going to this restaurant for years and lately noticed a huge drop in quality of service and food. Today we went for an early dinner on a whim and it was the worst. Restaurant was half full and we asked for a window table, at which a woman waitress gave us a choice of 2 tables way... More
