Belden place off Bush St was recommended by the hotel, decided on Cafe Tiramisu and wasn't disappointed. Good Italian food at a reasonable price in a cosy environment. If your in the district well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed with the fare. Highly recommend

The concierge in the Omni recommended this restaurant. It was simply the best meal we had in San Francisco. The portions were not the gigantic plates you often see. The lamb cutlets were perfect - tender and very tasty. We enjoyed the persoana service also. Eat here if you are in the Financial District.

We actually stumbled upon Cafe Tiramisu when the restaurant we were trying to find (located right next door) ended up being closed. We had a party of 7, and because we had planned on dining elsewhere, did not have a reservation but the staff were very happy to find us a table. The restaurant is located in an alley, which... Three of us had dinner here. Our appetizers - tomato/corn broth with Dungeness crab, house salad with baby greens, veal mealballs over polenta, were 5 star. I have tried for years to perfect Italian meatballs, and mine cannot compare with Tiramisu's. I'm afraid I'm forever spoiled. But we ate so much we could only eat a little of our entrees:... More

We had great service and delicious food. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night and we enjoyed it.

We ate here on a Sunday night. The restaurant is very nice, but is located in a small alley, which was a little scary at night, in the dark. My hubby had the sole and said it was fantastic. I had ricotta and spinach ravioli. They were good, but nothing special. We had tiramisu for dessert, and it was one... More

On a recommendation we decided to book a table at Cafe Tiramusu. We arrived a little early and were seated right away. Note the restaurant is located in an alley along with multiple other restaurants. We had the cheese plate and carpaccio to start and were quite happy with the flavors and wine pairing. We carried in a wine and... More

Do what it takes to find Cafe Tiramisu when you're in San Francisco. It's tucked away off the beaten path on Belden Place (near Pine and Kearny) The proprietor is from south Amalfi Coast and the food is some of the best Italian you'll find. There is a primi and secondi special each evening. This is no pretense, authentic, Italian... More

Cafe Tiramisu is tucked away on an adorable lane of restaurants in the financial district. The food is so delicious and the wait staff super professional. Our family enjoyed every single dish - from the roasted pear salad to the bronzino to the homemade ragu and pappardelle and finally to the tiramisu - easily the lightest, tastiest tiramisu I have... I have been going to Cafe Tiramisu for more than 20 years. First, for business lunches when I worked in downtown San Francisco, later for family events (birthdays, etc.), and now for special occasions like New Year's eve, as we recently did now that we are retired and living out of town. I have recommended Tiramisu to many visitors, all... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
