This place is unique. One side is a bar with drinks, and the other is food. For the food you wait in line and order off the small menu. Typically its some meat and a couple side dishes. Then you choose if you want more...More

Visited this place on our trip around the States earlier in the year and loved it. Don’t come expecting gourmet service. They smack the food on your plate like it’s a big family dinner, and you’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll shovel it down and...More

Had a meal here on Thanksgiving, everything is just like your mother would make it and the portions are plentiful. If anything, the kitsch interior is definitely worth of having a beer in here. I recommend the sloppy Joe or any meat sanwich aswell

Really enjoyed this bar. A number of good beers and not too expensive. Very friendly staff too. And the food? Absolutely brilliant but very cheap. Highly recommended

Inside is cool but food was weak. Shoe leather meat, lumpy partially cooked “mashed” potatoes, and canned green beans. Maybe other stuff on the menu is better? I won’t bother going back to find out.

We have always made Tommy's Joynt a "must visit" whenever we are in San Francisco. However, the last time we were there will be the last. My friend had the buffalo stew and it had a sour taste as if it had been in the...More

This place is an institution. If you're in the area you must try it. Great food and drink. A little something can be found from around the globe.

Visited this place with my wife whilst on a tour of California and the West and was one of the best eateries we came across. The bbq beef sandwich was exceptional and one of the best I have ever tasted. The place itself is pretty...More

Wanted to try a different place in "The City" instead of the usual wharf fare during our visit. Checked out Tommys online and hofbrah food sounded great. As we approached Tommys, my husband and daughter mistakenly thought we were heading to Mel's across the street--I...More

Yes most of the menu is GF. All the main dinners are GF without the dinner roll. The sandwiches can be made on a butter lettuce wrap or Tommy's has GF bread occasionally. The dinners come with 2 sides a hot and a cold, the... More
