We came here after being at the Biergarten all day and it was a perfect finish to a very German day out. They serve traditional style German foods on wooden tables/benches and of course German ales. We had the 2 litre boot to drink from...More

Great and friendly service. Smiles all around. Rare German food in city. Homemade sausage. Menu fun to be in German. Great menu variety. Wife had the pancakes which I sampled and had many layers of flavor. Sausage of day was great. Everything done to perfection....More

Five of us -- four who have lived in Germany many years -- had a wonderful, nostalgic nod yummy German meal last night at Suppenküche! Decor wasn't fancy so much as authentic -- comfy (but "cozy") authentic German fest-style long tables (10-12 per) and benches,...More

You sit family style, as is the case at many German restaurants I've been to in other towns. (This means other people will share your table.) Meatloaf was great. We also ordered jaeger schnitzel and cheese spaetzel. This place is small, busy, but good.

I've gone here twice without reservations during busy Saturday time slots and I've gotten in both times. You do have to wait, and the place is so small that waiting inside is kind of a pain. You may also need to share your table. Tables...More

The restaurant has no sound softening floors or walls so it is very noisy. It gets very busy quickly so I suggest getting there when they open. The trout was delicious, the schnitzel good, the sausage OK, and the beers were awesome. The pretzel ap...More

There were 8 of us so we got there early because they don't take reservations. It filled up fast. All the beer and wine were German. The spaetzle done like mac and cheese was divine! The potato pancakes were amazing. The dinners were good, but...More

This place has a nice beer menu with a wide variety of beers on draft. Seating at shared tables - this is fine in Germany, but I find it off-putting in the States. Nice menu - we had the sauerbraten and the Wiener Schnitzel -...More
