This is a strange review to write for the simple fact that I was never able to actually enter the establishment because it was always closed. It bills itself as a chocolatier who sells coffee and tea. From the outside it looks most inviting and I could not wait to try its coffee. But while in town for business last... More

This place was located right outside our hotel, so we may have stopped by a time or two! The chocolates are delicious! I don't care how much we spent because we thoroughly enjoyed every bite! All we had was the chocolate, so I cannot comment on anything else, but who needs anything else when there's chocolate??

Loved the deep, rich taste of the chocolates - both the bars and the truffles. The shopkeeper really knew his chocolate and understood my preference for the deep rich tastes.

Located just outside the Marriott Marquis Hotel, we stopped here after lunch for a coffee and some chocolates. The very friendly woman working on that day spent a lot of time explaining all of the chocolates to us. (It helped that no one else was there, of course). The coffee was just OK, good, but nothing special to rave about.... More

Unfriendly service As a Swiss, I wanted to know this place. Schoggi, Swiss name but no Swiss quality. Trying to drink a coffee and a sweet.. But all the coffee machine didn’t work, unfriendly workers. So, looking for another place… there’s a lot of.

A girlfriend and I stopped in while walking by and grabbed a few chocolates. They are a little pricey at about $2 each, but they were absolutely delicious. Also, the fellow working the counter was extremely pleasant and took quite a bit of time talking to us about the chocolates, helping us pick them out and just making pleasant conversation.

I finally found the closest neuhaus dark chocolate replacement, love it. the price is around $2.5/pc, sorta $$$$, but for this good smooth dark chocolate n truffles, i am ok. But just cannot eat too much, i will be broke.....

Shouldn't it be???! (They don't advertise that price of course....one must ask.) Sparse little chocolate shop, kind of pretentious, but have to say the candies are tasty, and pretty. I just couldn't justify the price......for the same price as a tiny bite of chocolate you can go next door and have a big custom made eclair.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
