Stopped here for lunch it was on our must visit while visiting San Francisco. It didn’t disappoint – I got the buffalo chicken sub and coleslaw. I could have eaten the sub for 2 or 3 meals it was massive and delicious. My husband made his own sandwich and said it was just as good but he was jealous that... More

We were staying at the nearby Holiday Inn Golden Gateway and my wife was slated to have a cardiac procedure at California Pacific hospital, so I was looking for a local, reliable restaurant where we could take our meals. I had high hopes. I went over there with my sons for a late lunch just to give it a tryout.... More

Along with some Chinese colleagues, we had matzoh ball soup, bagels with Lox and cream cheese and Buffalo wings and salads. A great selection with good free flowing coffee.

First stop while vacationing from Chicago. Service was attentive and friendly, and offered suggestions on things to do while here. Food wasn't bad. Corned beef on rye hit the mark. Kids all enjoyed their picks. Only disappointment was matzo ball soup, which tasted like it came from a can.

Born and bred in New York, and at my age, I think I know a little about good pastrami. Miller's has the best I've had this side of New York. Not surprisingly, they import their pastrami from upstate New York! Not as generous portions as Katz or Carnegie delis in NYC, but better tasting in my opinion (not as salty... More

Just imagine, amazing NYC deli food and at a reasonable price. I had a reuben which was unreal with enough chips (fries) to feed two people, the guy that served me appeared to be the manager but although he was good as his job didn't seem too enthusiastic about having to be there which is a shame because he has... This was our first stop when visiting San Francisco and it did not disappoint. We had fresh bagels, a great omelet and a breakfast sandwich. The staff was friendly and quick. The food was served quickly and hot. The lox was delicious and we all loved the décor. The place was not in a touristy spot and was not really... More

I love delis that pile on the food and Miller East Coast does just that. The sandwich I enjoyed was plied with Pastrami with some fat that carries the flavor and was enough for two, although I did not let that stop me from finishing it all! Another time three of us had Breakfast in the restaurant, which in a... More

Went for a deli style lunch consisting a pastrami sandwich, cole slaw and a pickle on Rye. The meat portion was acceptable but was full of fat. The worst part is that it took 20 minutes to get served. If you ask for another pickle they charge you extra. The bill for the above lunch and a diet pepsi came... More

We say this place on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives Food Network TV show. Based on what we saw, we wanted to try it. We were not disappointed. Wonderful New York style deli. Their sandwiches are literally heaped with meat, perfect for those of us who hate the dreaded breadwich. I had a pastrami philly. It was piping hot when... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
