It is an authentic small donut shop. They make donuts from scratch, on their own. We were served by a lovely lady. Their donuts are fresh, fluffy, and tasteful. The place is not a super modern decorated place, but it is clean, you fell welcome, their product is good, and this is what matters!

We got here at 10:30 on a Sunday. They only had a few types available. I tried the cream. Nothing special at all.

We are always looking for good donuts when we travel. Looked at the reviews and decided to give it a try. There was a line so we figured that was a good sign. When we got in to order it became apparent we were dealing with a sweet little oriental woman behind the counter, she was the only one working... More

So we walked to Bob's and grabbed four apple fritters before heading to Pier 33 for the tour boat to Alcatraz. We also got coffee and milk, to go. These donuts are hot and fresh and powered us for our morning. If you're in the 'hood, stop in!

Tried several different types of donuts and they were all good and not expensive. Couldn't find anything special but defiantly good donuts:)

Pretty good doughnuts, but I'm not really sure it's worth the hype - perhaps I was expecting too much, but I didn't find them world-changing, as some have. I had the cake crumb and the cinnamon roll - both good, but no need to make a special trip, as I did.

Visiting San Francisco and fancied coffee and donuts. Read about Bob's and had a walk to seek them out. It was late Sunday afternoon, but there was still a steady stream of customers. Decided to sit in with coffee. I couldn't believe how tasty and fresh these donuts are. We had bought some pre packed donuts in Yosemite which promptly... More

This place makes what is easily the best doughnut I've ever had. And they do it for only $1. I highly recommend stopping by.

Made sure to enjoy these (and even brought some for my group to share!). The smell wafting onto the street was amazing and tempting. They always had a selection 'just coming out of the fryer.' It was clear there were local patrons as well as passerbys like myself! There were lineups when I passed in the evenings.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
