While in SF for our honeymoon - I was craving some good ole homecooking and Pho was the only thing that would do. We found Tin from a quick Google search and we weren't disappointed. The pho broth is super flavorful and their portions are great. It's a bit more expensive than at home - but it's SF so we... More

It's been over 7 years since I ate Bun Cha, although it wasn't exactly the same as Hà Nội, it was still really good and made me miss Viet Nam even more. Good choice of food, wish the Vietnamese coffee, had come with the authentic dripper. All in all, a great place to visit with good food.

Really only one vegetarian item on menu, Vegetarian Pho, but it was very fresh and the broth was just right - not too salty or sweet. Pleasant place to sit. Not sure about the broken screen window displayed on the wall as art.

We stumbled on this place for dinner. It must be really popular, as the line was out the door, but they turn over diners pretty quickly so the wait usually isn't too long. Anyway, the food is standard Vietnamese, but is fantastic! We shared mango salad and spring rolls, both of which were extremely fresh, and the pho is fabulous.... More

I was going to pick up my BMW at the Euro Motors around the corner (great place if you need BMW work done). The Mechanic was closing up for lunch so he invited me to join him and his colleague. I expected some fast food place nearby, and was totally surprised to walk into Tin for the first time. It... More

This place is a gem! Found it after a couple of days stay in SF. Wished I found it earlier. I had the Pho Ga. I rate it very good to excellent. The pickled red onions (part of the condiments) was a nice change up. Prompt service and excellent staff. The decor was pleasant with soft warmlighting. A good indication... More

Very good Vietnamese food, Very informal, a bit crowded, so don't be in a hurry! The food was some of the best I've had. Recommended.

We were early, and Tin (half of Tin-Tin) was quiet. The spring rolls were excellent, as was my beef pho. My wife had a dish with tofu and no soup and enjoyed it. The portions are large and invite sharing. We'll keep it in mind for our next visit to SFO.

Highly recommend, line was out onto street. Still seated and eating within 45 minutes. Great food, tried several items. Would have them all again.

A simple Vietnamese restaurant with no other "Asian" dishes mixed in. Good solid fare at very reasonable prices. Great flavors, authentic, clean with a lot of local traffic.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
