To be perfectly honest, came to the Tavern completely by accident. Was headed to dine at another establishment, but was struck by the Tavern's chic exterior that led me to deviate. What a totally awesome decision this turned out! Carlos was an incredible host. Super...More

Beautiful restaurant in a great location. Fast and friendly service. The best whiskey sour I've ever had. I think this place would be perfect for a business lunch/dinner or a romantic couples date. Delicious food. I'm looking very much forward to visiting again.

Awesome place. SF colleagues raved about the place, and for a good cause. Totally topped all expectations. Wine selection is great, service is solid, food even better. Can't wait to take my girlfriend here next time we're visiting for leisure.

Everyone raves about the donuts, which seem to have seasonal accompaniments, but there is a lot to love in the main menu. We shared the mac & cheese and though a little salty it was still terrific. I've eaten here a couple time and the...More

The food was excellent. The fried chicken was as good as advertised. Moist but not greasy and very flavorful. Burger was also A+. Service was so so. A bit slow and inattentive.

Love this place. Great vibe, true Tavern feel. Service was wonderful, attentive and thoughtful. The food itself was spot on. For everyone questioning, the friend chicken really is that good. It is very shareable for two people (that is what we did with a couple...More

Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but
can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s
version of Wall Street. The rush of business people
make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of
life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the
narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of
historic and contemporary architecture, including the
iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours,
