This is the cutest bar. When I get back to SF, I am definitely going here for evening beverages. We went for Sunday brunch. It is such a tastefully appointed restaurant with a great airy feel and natural light. There are wood beams, exposed internal brick, and a rectangular bar in the center. The brunch itself offered tasteful food, but... More

This place has a great idea for Brunch! Not your typical seating arrangement, yet it makes it fun. It almost feels like you are in your living room eating brunch with a bunch of your friends yet with a full bar in your kitchen! The food selection in the buffet was awesome. The shrimp ceviche peruvian style was really good... More

I'm lucky enough to travel a lot with my job all over the world and this place is by far the best I've been to for a all in brunch, we came in on New Year's Day morning and were welcomed in, served straight away and looked after brilliantly by Brandon for our whole visit. The food and drinks were... More

I met some friends for a late meal, and since there wasn't a ball game, we had no trouble getting a table. There are several types - high tops, regular tables and couches/lounge chairs by low tables. The staff act as a team, anyone willing to get you a drink or some food. The prices are a bit higher than... More

Shared tapas style food that was great. A good selection and excellent service and a comprehensive wine list. Seating on high stools. Interesting refitted building. Recommended.

Had heard about District from friends, stopped in after dinner down the street for a drink. Great atmosphere, old brick and timber, looks like a previous warehouse (which would make sense with the area that is now high end condos, bars, etc. all within walking distance of the ball park). Oversized couches on one side for larger parties, massive bar... More

Had dinner at District after a trade show. It was a great experience. The food was fantastic with unique flavor combinations and a really interesting menu. It was refreshing to have so many unique menu choices.

This place is a charm, a jewel! The flights of wine are very well selected, but be bold and just pick a bottle. You will not be disappointed. Food is gorgeous as well and staff is friendly. Do yourselves a favor and do not miss this place!

We had a couple of hours to kill before a show at the Utah Hotel and this was the perfect place to do it. We started with one of their house-made charcuterie plates which had some of the best cured meat I've had in the city. Then some deviled eggs with chili and some tempura avocado which was probably the... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
