Absolutely marvelous. This was our second visit. Both were memorable. Fabulous food and attentive service. Lamb shank and rack of lamb were superb, as was orrichiette with eggplant and mushrooms. Panna cotta was silky smooth and topped with decadent cherry coulis. Even the bread was terrific.Just a fabulous dinner.

Recommended by friends when we visited SF, it was the perfect spot - non-tourist restaurant. Limited seating, fast and friendly service, and the food super. Crusty warm bread, perfect pasta, delish lambshank.

Authentic, intimate Italian spot in the SOMA area serving classic Tuscani & Piedmontese cuisine. Home-made dishes classified as "From the Earth" and "From the Ocean". A group of nine of us enjoyed a fabulous meal here before recent Cirque show. Everything was wonderful starting with the Tagliere di Salumi & Burrata antipasto plates. Service was attentive & quick. Spinacina (spinach)... More

This is my neighborhood restaurant and close to an office where we held an offsite mtg with colleagues flying in. Casual abs homey. They liked it.

The best minestrone I've ever eaten. A beef lasagne that's a cross between the style I had in Rome and the typical American style - taking the best of both and crafting it to perfection! Probably hand-crafted to order, too. No fast food here. Luka (Luca? Luccha?) is wonderfully friendly and shows he enjoys what he does, which is feeding... More

We stopped here on way from Moscone to ATT Ballpark. It looked good so we stopped in with no reservation and they were able to accommodate a table for three easily.. It was a delightful find and we loved the experience. The bread and tapenade is great. The burrata cheese melts in your mouth - divine. The roasted veggie bruschetta... More

Crazy expansive menu- pretty much any Italian specialty is there. Large wine selection too. Food was a bit salty but solid. Can't fault the pasta or seafood options. Atmosphere is nice for a date or hanging out with friends. Staff are very warm and attentive. This is the type of place I could make into a regular neighborhood dining spot.

Authentic and well-thought out menu. You cannot go wrong here! Though it is only on the lunch menu and I did not realize that I had been planning on having the sole. Was accommodated with a blink of an eye!

We found this place after a recommendation from our hotel staff. My colleague had the Risotto Alla Monferrina (19) and I had the Caesar salad (11) and the Ravioli con Pomodoro (19). Everything was very good - the only negative was the salad was a little overpriced - $7-8 would be more appropriate for this type of restaurant. Overall, I'd... More

While visiting family in San Francisco we met here one night for dinner. We were not disappointed. The food, atmosphere, & service were all great. As far as the food & ambiance, it was very much like a restaurant you will find in Italy. Absolutely delicious food. Will definitely be back.

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
